omg this place was so good! It has such a cute vibe and the employees were so nice! They didn’t have gelato at the time we went but the coffee definitely made up for it! I got their limited time frozen mint matcha and it was delicious! My friend got an americano and they gave her a cute sugar stick. The chocolate almond croissant was so good! I’m a big fan of croissants that are a little thicker it was very boujee I love it. I’m definitely remembering this place the next time I’m in the area.

The coffee and food are ok, but not worth the price in my opinion. My $11 sandwich sounded great but turned out to be two small pieces of toast with a single paper-thin turkey sheet, some generic jam and two small leaves of arugula. Cheese was somewhere on there I guess? I definitely expected more for the price tag. The breakfast burrito was tasty but also small for the price. The service is good and I enjoy the location for the atmosphere and both indoor and outdoor seating.

Took the time to get out of my hotel and explore Ann Arbor local coffee shop. Two things that caught my attention were the locally made pastries aka croissants from Cannelle and pour over coffee! Throughly enjoyed my breakfast at the coffee bar and great conversation with the baristas.

Best coffee in town since Cultivate closed. Food taste good but needs a little something more. Has a industrial bohemian vibe and a great outdoor space. It's open later than almost every other coffee place in town which is great for us who work and 9-5 and need a coffee after work!

I love Black Diesel. I’ve come a few times. Gotten coffee, hot and iced, as well as some matcha, hot and iced as well. I will say they have the best matcha of the places I’ve tried around Ann Arbor. It’s the perfect amount of sweet. They don’t skimp on the amount given either, filling every cup to the brim. They have a nice vibe and a very spacious patio for the warmer months. I haven’t tried much of their food, just some croissants which are pretty good and not bad. Definitely give this place a try!
