Amazing food and very friendly and attentive staff!!
Best vegan and vegetarian option. Chicken items also we enjoyed. Ethiopian eating style enjoyed for the first time. Eating from a communal platter of injera (a flatbread) is central to their food culture. Varieties of option available for deserts.
Friendly staff and amazing food
Wonderful place with delicious food!
Food is amazing and the servirse is super friendly!
Vegetarian feast for 2 (which is also vegan) is sooo good, especially if you're really hungry because everything is replenishable. Food is fresh and served hot. The two types of lentils served on the platter were on a medium level of spicy but the rest of the sides were not spicy at all. The 2 guys from Nepal were the best servers we had in all 3 days of visiting the Detroit area and eating out for every meal. Don't sleep on the Ethiopian tea, especially if you're a cinnamon lover like me. It's refillable and tastes so good that I even bought a tin of tea leaves to take home which is about 25 bucks after tax and makes about 80 cups of the most comforting tea I've ever had. There's a second Blue Nile restaurant in Ferndale, MI owned by the same family. I'll def be back for another amazing feast in the future. 🌱🙏
The best food every time!!! God bless them. Thank you for sharing your culture.
This place is fantastic!!!
The food is inauthentic and tastes terrible. The bread not sour too. Maybe the worst Ethiopian food in USA. Avoid! Go to Filling station if you’re vegan.
I recently visited this Ethiopian restaurant and had a rather disappointing experience. They have a mandatory policy of ordering a vegetable tray for $22, which I found quite steep. Unfortunately, the taste of the vegetable tray did not meet my expectations. Additionally, I was surprised to learn that if I wanted to add any meat dish, I would have to order another vegetable tray. This policy feels excessive and takes away from the overall dining experience. I hope they reconsider their approach, as it detracts from what could be a great meal.

This is a really amazing Ethiopian restaurant! They have an all you can eat vegetarian feast served over injera and you can add extra meat dishes. The vegetarian dishes are varied, satisfying, and delicious on their own. The meat dishes are really amazingly spiced. I really liked the teff injera which had more of a sour flavor than the regular wheat injera. The staff are also really friendly making for an amazing dining experience.

Nice food, would definitely go again. Although I am not a fan of vegetables, these taste good when combined. About the meats... The chicken was excellent, I loved it; The lamb was not bad, but could use more seasoning. Anyway, I understand that it is traditional food, so it is respected.

I've been coming here since I was a little kid, and the quality has always been amazing. My husband even proposed here. It's our special spot. I'll keep coming until I die!
