Our waitress Emerson was awesome! Had a great meal before going to the Michigan Theater for a movie. We always enjoy Cafe Zola.
We went this time for Ann Arbor Restaurant Week, but we've been many times. It's always a great experience. The RW menu was excellent and a great value. The service was just as great as the food. We always enjoy the cozy ambiance as well.
I visited Cafe Zola for the first time during Ann Arbor Restaurant week and had such a great experience. The service was excellent and the food was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was cozy and the space decor is great. I will definitely back!
The waitress (Charlotte?) was great, but it took a long time to get our food. Not her fault.
Zola a variety of upscale bistro food where there is something for everyone. They do everything to try to accommodate your needs especially if you have allergies. We had a wonderful dinner.
We had a table by the front window which is also by the front door which is quite chilly on a winter day. Also our service was subpar with a less than full house. Food was pretty good but overall was a fair experience.
Always a go to place for their brunches and lunches --excellent menu, imaginative and the service could not be more inviting--casual, not stuffy but well above expectations. My partner first serving of pasta was not acceptable (the waitress immediately recognized the issue when we informed her). With in we had a freshly prepared and outstanding dish.. Cheers and Enjoy
Had I read the reviews before dining at Zola this time, I never would have gone. I had not been there for at least two years but remember eating delicious waffles. This time, I sent them back . They were cold. They were replaced by lukewarm, mushy and thin waffles. Never again. And two skinny waffles cost almost $20.00.
Very busy but good food and service we were a large group with a baby and they did good keeping up with us
A mixed review from our visit this morning. While the shakshuka was good, the waffle orders arrived hot and cold and undercooked. Service was great and the situation made right, but it was a mixed bag experience.

The food was just nothing to write home about. The grilled chicken sandwitch was dry and the avacado on the side was raw and hard. The shaksouka was no where close to real stuff. Cacio e Pepe was the only saving grace. Service was equally bad. I am not going to come back here.
Cold soup and terrible chicken sandwich. Not worth the money.
I'll keep this simple: prices are as high or higher than Zingerman's Roadhouse, and the food does not justify it. The spaghetti and one giant meatball is $27, and was not as good as Olive Garden. The lambchops were cooked well enough, but the mashed potatoes were significantly better, and that doesn't justify $44 for two of them. A hummus plate came with 2 pieces of bread, and probably 8 bread pieces worth of hummus. The bread plate came with 2 pieces of bread. The strongest elements were the aforementioned mashed potatoes and the calamari, which were >very< tasty.
Great pre-game brunch. Outstanding shakshuka. I've been going to Zola for twenty years. It never disappoints.
The food was excellent. But it was so noisy that we could barely converse at our table. I think it is due to the high ceiling and brick walls.
