Wow...that food was amazing, staff is so quick with whatever you need. Great choice of beers
Old Ann Arbor at it's best!
Chris was the best! The booths were very cozy and they were accommodating to all requests. Food and drinks were great but the service was phenomenal. Great overall experience!
Great pub experience
Efficient service and a very good hamburger. Their hamburger ordering system is good because they let you pick 3 items from a large selection of toppings without the price of the burger changing. They let you order it to your own doneness preference which is a big attraction to me because I like my burgers on the underdone side. I found my burger to be very very good. I'm significantly less impressed with their other items. In general I had been negative about the place for years, but consistently told I was wrong about it because it's a burger place and I should get the burger before judging it. The service ranges from excellent to impatient and a bit rude, but the place is often packed to the gills and they're always efficient so I can't knock them for the service. The hamburger there is indeed very very good. The atmosphere is pretty much just like a Midwest bar. In fact the whole restaurant is dominated by a bar that runs nearly the entire length of the restaurant. They also have TVs mounted in the corners of the room. Overall it's a pretty nice atmosphere, but it has often been uncomfortably crowded at peak times in the past.
If you want a great burger, go when they're not busy. It's still a fantastic burger when they're busy, but you may have to wait and you'll be eating it in a loud crowded place. If you don't want a hamburger, my advice is to skip it altogether. It's not bad. It's not in any way bad. But there is no reason to fight the crowds for the food unless you're really looking for a good big hamburger.
Parking: I'm not sure if there is free parking behind the restaurant, but even if there is, is absolutely never available. Every time I've been, many times over 20 years, you're forced to hunt for parking at few parking meters spaces on the street in front of it.

My sister and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The grilled pastrami on sourdough was the best. And server was super efficient and friendly.

Disappointed I have been coming here forever it’s tradition after the football game to come here. It wasn’t busy today surprisingly. I ordered a burger with cheese and it came out with no cheese. We mentioned it to the waiter and he came back with slices of cold cheese. Did not replace the burger. I did not eat the burger and it wasn’t taken off the check. They also forgot the lettuce, tomato and onion on my husband burger. We mentioned that as well and he came back with just the lettuce and tomato. Our waiter was nice but am still disappointed by the food.
Watched the game and had lunch. The Asian chicken salad and French dip both excellent. Guinness on tap made the loss go a little better. I will be back.

Very tasty (and properly cooked) cheeseburger. Guinness was at the perfect temp as well, and they know how to pour it. Grossly overpriced, but that is the norm these days. ($40.00 for a burger, shot, beer and tip).
