Absolutely delicious! The homemade juices were super refreshing and make sure to save room for tres leche cake.

With its spare decor, this place could at first glance be mistaken for a small middle school cafeteria. However, the friendly guy who took my order dispelled that thought very quickly.

He helped me figure out the basics of Peruvian cuisine, about which I suffered complete ignorance. I chose wisely. The beef, chicken, egg, & rice dish was perfect for my introductory luncheon. It was a little tangy, full of flavors, and delicious.

Now I want to go to Peru

Please don’t rebuttal customers over the phone. Especially when you are telling them you “didn’t give them silverware because most people who have to-go’s at night are going home”. We are literally here from out of state and are staying in a hotel. But okay! Thanks for the hot, wilted salad, black bean juice all over the inside of the plastic bag, and no silverware. Please enjoy my 18% tip on a to-go order!

Food was really bad. Don’t order ceviche. It did not have any lemon juice, the limón juice was bitter because they don’t squeeze the key limes at the moment. The arroz con marisco was terrible too it had a pudding consistency and not testy (the rice they use is the cheapest one) I hope they have something better there but I am not going to risk it again. It is a very bad representation of Peruvian food. I can say that because I am Peruvian…. And by the way, the other restaurant in Ferndale is also bad.
Please train your cooks and don’t be cheap with ingredients like not using old key lime juice(already squeezed time in advance), chewy meat, cheap rice, etc
It is too bad that I did not take pictures but one positive thing I can say is the boy who took orders was very friendly. We were there before closing on 10/29/24

Not impressed. Wanted to swap French fries for yuca fries, the person at the counter absolutely refused, didn't give an option for upcharge or anything. Paid 6$ more for yuca, and had a plate of French fries I didn't want. Seemed to be expensive plates of mostly white rice and French fries. Overall disappointing

The food is good, very good, but the service is terrible ? you can't choose your sides, so you pay for something you don't even eat and you have to pay extra for your sides that you want, so you spend almost double. I really wanted to love that place ?

Response: I didn't order pollo a la brasa. Almost all the dishes come with French fries. There should be a choice to get camote, or yuca, even if there is an upcharge, that's understandable. So you end up with French fries you don't want, and have to pay $6 to get the side you want.

Went with my dad for my birthday. Was looking forward to trying this new place in Ann Arbor. Service was extremely poor, no one greeted us as we walked up to the counter. Ask for a tip at checkout, then the employee gives me a hard time when I ask for a to go box. Not sure what the tip is even for. The Food came out lukewarm and was mediocre at best. Alcohol is not served here, everything is self-serve (water, etc). When it is costing 70+ dollars to go out for anything these days, I do not expect to spend my time or money here ever again

We had the Salchipulpos, the empanadas, Patacones Picantes, and the Chica Morada. The Salchipulpos and the Patacones were amazing, and the Chica Morada was a delicious refresher. Ultimately, it was tasty and very filling. The empanadas were good, healthy tasting.

The place is very nice! However I recommend the carnipapas more than the pollo a la brasa or arroz chauffa.

Culantro was an amazing stop for dinner! Highly recommended if you’re in the area. The wait time to order, get seated, and receive my food was timely and the food was super tasty. Pictured below is the 1/4 lb Pan con Pollo with a side side, black beans, and a plate of Fritas.

Entrees were above average, desserts were well made. The dining experience was... Inconsistent. It would be good for them to hire one or two waitress - where that is their only job. The person who took our order (presumably the owner) also was a psudo-waiter. There is, to my knowledge, no other Peruvian restaurant in Ann Arbor.
