Keep canceling my order on Uber

My mom stopped by here after her appointment at UMich in which she wanted to get bubble tea before her drive back to Troy. Went to Ding Tea and was met was two condescending ladies working who did not acknowledge her when first entering. After they were done with whatever they were doing, one of them came to take her order. No greeting just a ‘what do you want?’ And after making the drink, just plopped it on the counter without a word. So if you’re looking for a pick-me-up after going to your UMich Cancer appointment - do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO IN HERE.Bad service, unfriendly and not the type of place for a positive environment or experience at all. We go to Ding Tea in Novi and Madison Heights often but wow this left a terrible impression of Ann Arbor’s location.

Racially Insensitive place. Not a good place for mixed American people. People here started asking me about my race and when I said I didn't want to answer they kept asking questions. This is my first time here and sadly will be my last.

Wouldn’t recommend taro milk tea. Not real taro
I ordered Thai milk tea with coffee jelly and golden boba, but I received thai milk tea with only crystal boba. I ordered through doordash and they said they have no responsibility.

It's a shame when a employee completely ruins the name and reputation of a business in one interaction but that's what happened for me.My partner knows exactly what she likes and has ordered it at this location in the past with no issues. Just a traditional milk tea with brown sugar and tapioca pearls. That's what my partner ordered and the woman had no questions upon receiving this exact order. The drink we were given had no brown sugar in it and had golden boba instead of the traditional boba. My partner was kind and just asked if there was brown sugar in it and all we got was attitude back and told if we wanted brown sugar, we should have ordered the brown sugar milk tea (even though she asked for brown sugar in the traditional milk tea). It seemed like the employee did this on purpose, just to spite us for ordering "incorrectly". My partner and I began to leave. I could see the look of disappointment on her face and her hesitation in further "upsetting" the employee. So I convinced her to turn around and try asking nicely again if we could just have brown sugar added. We went back in and asked, the employee told us it would be too sweet (how would she know what would be too sweet for us?), then swiped the cup from her hand, angrily stabbed new holes in the lid and then pumped and pumped brown sugar in, again almost to make her own point that it would be "too sweet". The employee then practically threw the cup back at us. My partner looked her dead in the eye and said thank you with kindness, the employee returned her kindness by rolling her eyes at her and turning around, saying nothing. We then proceeded to leave and said 'have a nice day", the employee then turned to another customer and started making fun of us and laughing at us.If it were my business I would never hire someone like this woman. She was rude, condescending and impatient. Not at all made for customer service. Not only will I never return to this ding tea, I will never step foot into any other ding tea just to make my point. It may be a drop in the bucket for a corporation but I'll make sure everyone I know knows that ding tea does not conduct themselves admirably. For anyone interested in looking further into this it was whoever was working Friday, October 20th, 2023. Around 1pm.

The woman behind the counter was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was very kind to her and only received an attitude back. Came here from out of town specifically for the milk tea, won’t ever be returning.

Pretty good boba place in AA. Wasn't super sweet, which I liked. Wasn't too strong either, which I also looked. Prices are kinda high and the $0.95 upcharge for no ice is kinda crazy.

Weak wifi connection. I was solely looking for wifi because of the outage, so it was pretty disappointing. There was no iced black coffee and a less-sweet version of Hokkaido latte was still too sweet.I liked the K-pop BGM tho.
