We had the worst experience at Frank’s. We were looking for a quick diner style breakfast. When we walked in we noticed the place had an interesting vibe and was pretty busy but we managed to be seated quickly as a two person party. Our drink order was taken and immediately brought to our table. So what went wrong? Well, everything you could think of. We waited 20 minutes for a server to come take our food order, but no one came. We ended up having to physically get up and flag someone down. When the server came to take our order she was visibly stressed out. Busy Saturday morning, we were understanding. She took our order and we waited. While we waited, we heard other tables become frustrated as their orders were brought out incorrectly more than once. We heard people complain that their food hadn’t come out and they’d been waiting for over an hour. We waited for 45 minutes with no sign of our food coming out. We struggled to flag her down again but when we finally did, she told us our food was coming out next. We thought she was going to check on our order, and maybe she did and we didn’t notice but what we did notice was that she just sat down. We waited another 15-20 minutes before we gave up. We are normally very patient diners but this was so out of pocket. We went up to the register to pay for our drinks and cancel our food order. The server made eye contact with us and came over to apologize and let us know that the reason our order was taking so long was because the cooks were moving the tickets around and she didn’t know why. She ended up not charging us for the drinks which we appreciated after the chaos. The service was overall friendly, not rude but we unfortunately won’t be coming back. If you’re looking for breakfast on a busy morning, good luck!

Solid breakfast place. Love how they mix all the ingredients into the omelets. Perfect stop before our tour.

The worst breakfast I have ever eaten. Food in the military was way better

Frank's is a great hole in the wall diner. My wife and I planned a random trip to Ann Arbor, random road trips are the best. We looked up breakfast and made the best decision on a whim. I got steak and eggs steak was a perfect medium rare and the eggs perfect as well. Got a side of hashbrowns, because potatoes are necessary. My wife got a two eggs breakfast and was really happy about the scrambled eggs. In my opinion a must stop.

It's one of the last great Ann Arbor staples still left standing.

I wanted to give it a chance since its been here long, but unfortunately the food was a huge let down. The hash browns I paid extra for that are usually included in most breakfast specials, were overcooked, extremely dry and seemed even old. Bacon was soggy and not crispy how I ordered, and the eggs were not by themselves how I requested. I didn't have time or would have returned the food. I've had breakfast from many places and coneys and have NEVER straight thrown away my hash browns because of taste.

Cafeteria breakfast at best. Powdered eggs, canned corned beef hash mixed with frozen hash browns. Can a restaurant mess up toast? Yes this one can!
Absolutely disgusting. McDonalds breakfast platter has better quality.
The owner and staff here are friendly and kind. I work across the street and have seen them go above and beyond for the neighborhood and customers. Egg Sammie’s are so dang good
Perfect greasy spoon

delish, breakfast and dinner choices 😋 perfect greasy spoon
The food was great. The service was great, very friendly, and not pushy at all. It feels like you know everyone, and everyone knows you.
My favorite diner in Ann Arbor. I have had bacon at many restaurants but Frank's has the best bacon out of all of them in Ann Arbor. The burgers are amazing at an affordable price.
Truly a tucked away gem.
friendly and cautious waitress, place had plenty friendly people chatting , food was good
Nice escape within the heart of the city back to small town American style mom and pop diners . The omelets are huge! Great prices, great food!
