The vegan Banh mi and vegan Pho are both great! Be sure you tell them you want it vegan, otherwise they'll make it vegetarian

I work in the area and I go to ginger deli every time I decide to have a little splurge and buy food downtown. I’m eating a vegan banh mi as I’m writing this lol. I remember complaining to my boss the first time I got it because I thought they gave me the wrong sandwich, it was so good I couldn’t believe it was a vegan option!! The tofu is really good imitation pork, and it’s pretty affordable relative to most food around here.

They have a really cute little display of packaged food for sale. The space is cute too. Is the food “authentic”? No. But it was good enough to satisfy an urge for Viet food. Pho could have used a little more meat.

And to the reviews who thought they got meat, they use soy sheets which minced up looks like some type of meat. It's not tofu. It's really good.

Stopped in for a quick bite. The space is casual and small. I got the chicken Bahn-Mi and my husband got the pork Bahn-Mi. They were both delicious! Soft bread, the meat was tender, juicy and seasoned well. The veggies were crisp and pickled. Highly recommend these dishes, perfect on a hot day!

We ordered the veggie rolls and a veggie tofu bahn mi. The veggie rolls (not pictured) came in a prepackaged tissue/wax wrapped way and when we tried to take it out to eat there was residue of the tissue on the rolls which we ignored and continued to eat. Next, we were excited to eat the Bahn Mi but there was no tofu in it and some suspicious meat. Not sure what kind of meat it is but it’s in the picture. No traces of tofu and the rest of the veggies were in super sweet sauce. Overall, I was very disappointed because I wasn’t able to eat much because I’m vegetarian.

Not bad for a quick and inexpensive meal for lunch. I tried the beef pho. The broth and texture for the noodles were good. It needs a better protein/noodle ratio and a side of bean sprouts and Thai chili peppers. Right now the only vegetable in there is a sprinkle of cilantro. The AC should be turned on a bit more, considering people are ordering a hot soup in the middle of summer.
It was the worst pho I’ve ever had. The wait was long, and the taste was awful. Anyone who has tried pho before would probably not want to come back.

My friend and I ordered vegetarian pho and got no tofu in either of our bowls despite the description on the menu. I am not sure this is the fault of the staff as it seems they are assembling a pre-made stir fry of vegetables and tofu that has pretty much no tofu. But I do think it's misleading to the customer and especially matters since tofu is the main protein source in the veg options. My friend's order also arrived late, which was understandably an honest mistake, but was given in a to-go container that wasn't designed for soup.
