Only a few vegan options that are skimpy portions or mostly bread. Best things about this place are the returnable take-out containers they offer, which is a huge bonus for the city of A2, and very friendly staff.

Ginger Deli is a must try! On a cool day go for the pho. The beef and vegetarian are both excellent. On a warmer day - a Banh MI is a fantastic go to option.Atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is very friendly even when busy.Vegetarian options: Have vegetarian option for pho and sandwiches

Ginger Deli definitely has the best banh mi and pho in Ann Arbor. Awesome service and music too!

The banh mi was excellent, but the pho was very disappointing. Very little amount of meat in the pho. It was essentially just noodles and broth. The broth was just okay.

Trying to find the best pho & banh mi in AA, and saw this place is ranked really high. Employees were really nice, and the seating area is cute but small. We got the pancetta banh mi. It was pretty good. Not a lot of daikon or pate, though. We also got the beef pho, and honestly it was the worst pho we've ever had. The broth tasted like they used too much aromatics or cheap spices, my boyfriend said it tasted very medicinal and left a bad aftertaste. There was also a layer of grease at the top. To make it worse, I found a bug in mine. We won't be back, which is a bummer because we'd really like to not have to drive so far east for some good Vietnamese food.

This place is pretty solid. I tried the pancetta banh mi. It's pretty similar to a bánh mì thịt nguội although pancetta is not traditionally used. The pickled veggies are a bit too sour for my liking and it can be overwhelming for some bites. I think they should add bơ in the banh mi. This is just a personal preference though, I like the creamy taste. I wish they would change their hours because closing at 4pm is too early !!

The beef pho broth is AMAZING. So much flavor packed in there. One of the best pho broths I've had for sure! The pho is the equivalent of a small/regular at another pho place and it doesn't come with sides like bean sprouts, etc. The noodles were quite clumpy and soft. It's impressive that they are able to run this operation without a kitchen on site (because of some unfortunate factors out of their control). The summer rolls also had lots of different textures bits that kept it interesting and delicious. The folks here are very nice and they have a really well curated selection of food items and local items.

mixed emotions about the ginger deli. we asked for the vermicelli bowl, but they were out. I got a great beef banh mi, she got some shrimp chips and some spring rolls. The banh mi was really tasty, but seemed kinda small. the shrimp chips were pretty terrible, about 40% of the bag was stale, the others were ok. the interior is cool, the ceiling is an old steel ceiling, pretty cool.

I got a chicken Banh mi from the ginger deli station at the University of Michigan Hospital Cafe. I can't speak to the service or atmosphere of the deli itself, but this is one of the best sandwiches I've had. Plan to visit the actual shop with my partner! Delicious food.

Been here several times now hoping previous experiences were a fluke but I'm done overpaying for small portions mediocre food. The food is nowhere near authentic, even for Ann Arbor standards. The Bahn Mi's, which don't even use baguettes, are small and inconsistent: one time it was almost all carrot, one time I got only two tiny pieces of meat, and one time they put exactly one stem of cilantro on. I've only gotten the pho once, it was just okay, wouldn't get it again.

Delicious, light, fresh, gingery chicken sandwich on a chewy, crusty roll. So satisfying for a quick lunch.
