Haven't had any GT items in a while due to the closing of the 2 locations that were closest to me. We stopped and purchased a cpl slices of pie and a cpl cookies. The banana cream pie was a little disappointing, the apple pie slice was very tart , the employee gave us a slice of chocolate crm instead of choc/ PB pie , the PB cookie was only ehh and the butterscotch/ oatmeal tasted like a plain ol sugar cookies with a little oatmeal in it . The employee wasn't stellar either , in addition to the wrong pie slice we recieved ....

Lunch, take out. Understaffed. My go- to fare is the Maurice Salad, as a Former JL Hudson employee! Long wait for a salad, then advised no Maurice Dressing!! The dressing makes the Salad unique. Why bother selling. Any other dressing makes it just another salad. My food preparer Nick is wonderful!! Very apologetic. I found it disturbing with low staffing and lunch time, management just wandered about doing aimless things instead of pitching in to help. They were not friendly either with no customer acknowledgement. I must say the Seasonal Praline Pie is delicious!! Better than the Key Lime. Fireplace makes it cozy.
Pie here is always good and service is hit or miss. The woman who served us seemed super befuddled and she struggled to keep our order straight.

Stopped in on a road trip heading back to Chicago. Whenever you have “pie” in the business name, it’s a must stop regardless. This business is much more than just pie. It is a full sit down/takeaway experience. The menu is extensive and of course the dessert menu is “grand”. Unfortunately we did not have the time to sit down. Waited in line (not long all) to purchase 2 pies to go. Unfortunately we must have stumbled on to a cashier that was having a very bad day. No hello. Stared at me like I was a different planet (I’m not). Scanned the pies. I paid. She handed me my receipt. We literally did not exchange one word to each other. Fortunately the bad taste in my mouth turned sweet after tasting that delicious apple pie.

I loved the food. I'm not a big fan of waiting in line to order, then wait at your table until your number is called. I guess it's got some logic, but I'm not a fan. A harpist played beautifully. That was a big treat.
