The vibe is surely a gastro pub with Kpop blasting and a small Karaoke at the corner. Korean street food with big servings, just like its name, Pocha. The food is mostly average, nothing to complain about and nothing really stands out. I did enjoy the fried chicken. It was brined perfectly, crispy skin and tender meat. The pork knuckle was made fresh when we were there, perfect texture and flavor.
The joint is dark and pretty greasy, tables, booths, and the smell, just don't wear anything you don't want to wash immediately after.
The prices are reasonable.

HanJan Pocha is such a unique spot! The army hotpot was hearty, flavorful, and incredibly filling. It’s definitely more of a family-style meal than something you’d want to tackle alone. The mandu were just as delicious, with a crispy exterior and juicy filling that paired perfectly with the hotpot. The overall vibe and menu make it a great place to come with friends or family to share and enjoy together. It’s great for a friend’s gather. Solo dinner not too much. 🙃

Great place! My group had a great time and food was tasty, enough for left overs for 6. The only downside is that the place got really hot, I was wondering if the AC was off? Can't wait to come back again

Loved everything about here. Reminded me of my favorite pocha in Itaewon. Their jokbal was really good. I wish they had more side dishes though but asides from that, I enjoyed my time there. The makgeolli hit all the right spot

I Love this place! They never ID me. I only gave a 3 star because of the price and the sneaky 20 percent gratuity.

Don’t say out loud customer’s age. It’s personal info. If over 21 just let it go. food was still good tho. But the beer tower tasted too bland.

Disappointed and won’t be returning

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. I walked in last week, the place looked unkempt—sticky floors, crumbs on tables, and an overall musty smell that made me second-guess staying. The bathroom is barely clean and he didn’t have any paper towels. I figured maybe the food would make up for it. It didn’t.

I ordered what should’ve been a simple, flavorful dish, but it was bland, and clearly not fresh. The lettuce were soggy.

Leslie, the music was also pretty loud and wasn’t very family friendly.

Cleanliness and quality should be the bare minimum for any restaurant. Unfortunately, this place failed at both. Definitely not coming back.

First time at HanJan Pocha, great experience. The atmosphere was a little jarring at first , lots of flashing multicolor lights, eclectic decor, Kpop blasting, but sitting down somehow it all comes together and is a fun vibe Service was very friendly and fast. Sausage and rice cake skewers were delicious, great smokey flavor. Mandu also had great texture and flavor, both generous portions. The Sapporo's were large and ice cold. We also got the whole fried chicken which I have to say was sort of just a whole fried chicken, not much to expound on there. Overall a great time and I look forward to going back.

Amazing Korean restaurant with delicious food! The spicy jokbal was packed with flavor—tender, rich, and perfectly spicy.

Rating five stars because it’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood and the ambiance is nice. The fish cake soup is good and very plentiful (like enough for 3 or 4 people). The kimchi pancake had nice flavor but the texture was really very off. Not crispy at all, and when you chewed it, it turned gummy and doughy. So maybe if you’re going to order the pancake, specify you want it crisped up. I’ll likely be back to try some of the dishes that’s harder to find in Ann Arbor like the spicy whelks and pork trotters.

I LOVE THE AQUARIUM FLOOR! THIS PLACE USED TO HAVE LIVE GRASS FLOORS BUT THEY DONT ANYMORE. THEY TORE THE DANG FLOORS OUT BECAUSE THE DANG WOOD WAS STINKY AND ROTTING AND THEY SPENT $8736 ON PLEXI GLASS AND GOT CHEAP FISH AT MEIJER TO FILL THE FLOORS WITH NOW U CAN SEE THE LIL SHRIMPS SWIMMING AROUND AND YOU CAN PICK WHICH SHRIMP YOU GONNA EAT! DANG COOL IDEA. SUCKS THEY DONT LET YOU WEAR HEELY SHOES IN HERE CUZ U MIGHT SCRATCH THE PLEXI GLASS

I don't know much about street food, being a Russian white girl, but my taste buds were in heaven. Can't miss the Tuesday specials rice balls. And the ramen was delicious (don't let them fool you that it's a portion for one. Bring a friend, lol)

Jokbal was so good. Kimchi pancake is so big that three people can share it.
