Super chill atmosphere with great tunes. Love the layout and outside seating option. Solid variety of beers, the Crumple was wonderful. Bulgogi fries can be split with someone, at the half size. For $10 it was worth it, delicious, and satiating. Merch is available and they have a membership available.

Came for Trivia, stayed after for the incredible food and beer. I’ve only had Smooj before so I wasn’t sure what to expect from their food or other beer but boy was I surprised! The Bulgogi Burrito was so delicious and the rice lager hit the spot. Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in Ann Arbor, you won’t be disappointed.

February 2024 updateThe food has changed. It's still good, but not as good as before. Most of the menu offerings are the same as they were a few years ago, but the preparation is off. The care is still there, but the recipes and technique are just not right. Bran sprouts are raw when they should be blanched. Bulgogi is dry, lacking in fat, overcooked. Bibimbop was served without kimchi. The food was still good and everything was made with great care, but it's not as good as it had been when they dish was made just right. Marinated cucumbers and cauliflower were very good in that same dish. A poke bowl was quite good but contained an excessive amount of flavorless, overly spicy hot slices of jalapeno. On the positive side, everything there used to be woefully lacking in salt. Now things are salted just enough for the flavors to come out.2022Very good food. Korean with a little bit of a twist - a little more modern, a little more like bar food and a little more fancy. The beer is good - all made on site, all strong flavored, some very good, others not to my liking. They do a variety of styles and produce some hits and misses.Located at the edge of a residential neighborhood, the view is of its own parking lot and some houses on the next block. A large part of the seating is outside on long picnic tables in a limestone gravel patio. A whole wall of the seating area is garage doors that open fully to turn the patio and cement floor interior into one large outdoor space. It's crowded here in the evenings and rather loud despite being partially open to the outside. All beer and food is ordered at the counter and I have always waited in line to order, although never more than a couple of minutes. Beer is handed to you at the bar when you order, food is delivered to the table. The food service has been quite fast every time.Winter accomodations are nice. They have enclosed all sides of a patio with a heavy tent material and warm it with overhead radiant heaters. Still completely outside they have a yard with gravel, benches, and gas propane

There's a good reason this place tops a lot of lists. Serious beer. Serious food. Pretty easy for any style party (kids, friend group of any size, couples). Just a good place for it. Whatever it is...

Best sour in the Ann Arbor area! With fusion Asian food to pair, it's my husband's and mines go to spot!

I would definitely come back here for drinks. If you're a sour lover, you definitely want to check out this spot! I was extremely excited to try the food, as the menu is creative and has many Asian fusion offerings, however, I was left disappointed. The Thai arancini was good but I wish the chef committed more to the Thai flavors. The rice needed a tad more curry flavor and I wish there was more mint sauce at the bottom. The chicken basil fries were good but also needed some help. There was more chicken than fries when normally you would find yourself in an opposite situation? The chicken was dry and I wish there was more sauce to help cover up the overcooked chicken. The bulgogi burrito was my least favorite, unfortunately. The bulgogi was overcooked and there was waaaay too much rice and once again, hardly any of the sriracha aioli. The food menu is there but the execution needs help, with a few tweaks the food could easily turn from a 3 to a 5. Maybe I just came on an off day?

First visit to Homes Brewery was a good one. Visited with a group of friends and had a good time. The food was pretty good -- the kimchi fries were a huge hit, though the bibimbap was a bit lackluster (the rice needs to be crispy!).Beer was overall good -- I really enjoyed the Composition 5 and a Smooj (I know it's technically not a beer but wherever), but the Dub Razz was a bit meh.Patio looks cool, and I hope to visit again when it's warmer so we can sit out there.

HOMES has been on my radar for a while; I was finally able to visit on a Friday afternoon. Although early October, the weather was mild this day, and I was able to sit at a picnic table in the covered patio area. When I first got there, the crowd was sparse, but it definitely picked up over time. The beer was very good; HOMES has a great reputation, and actually being there in person and trying some of their brews did not disappoint. The staff at the bar was friendly, and knowledgeable about their offerings. Of course, I had no choice but to take some beer home as well!! Overall, the great beer-hall vibes paired with great beer made for a great experience.
