Good overall. You order in line and wait for the food to be done standing. The egg was overcooked, the rest was delicious. Large fries are not that large.
The burgers here are actually really good. I'd say this place is the best place in town for a burger. The service however is horrendous if you don't know what you're doing. My advice is to just listen and wait for other people in front of you to order.
They're going to ask you questions as you're ordering so be ready and quick to order. Wait your turn, when they're speaking to you get ready. Anything from the fryer? Tell them you want fries, onion rings along with the size. What's on your burger? Tell them how many patties, what kind of bun, if you want any grilled items, etc. Do not under any circumstances say what cheese you want on your burger when they ask what's on your burger. I got such flack from the cook when I tried. Wait until they ask you for the cheese. Trust me on this one. When you're at the very end the cashier will ask you for uncooked toppings. Say your sauces first then any veggies.
I've been here a few times and their burgers are always the best in town but their gimmick is with their service. I'm not sure if they're intentionally rude to you or what the issue is. I heard from some locals that they're used to moving tons of people through a line during game days but when I went, we were the only four people in the store so I'm not sure how well that holds true.
Overall, if you're looking for a good burger joint, this place is it just get ready to order, don't be on your phone, take your headphones out of your ear and be ready. . Don't give them any info they don't need to hear and only speak when spoken to.
Not the original location but definitely the original smash burger
Best burgers in Michigan are these or west Michigan's Mikey's.
Super tasty burgers. You can customize your food with variety of buns. The fried veggies are also at the best! Comes out fresh and crunchy! They have egg sandwich and chicken too, and veggy patty as well.
The only problem is, the cooks are severely rude if you don’t know how to order. Be aware of Them!
Are they supposed to be rude ? Cause the way the cook talked to my elderly mom was not cool! If they are supposed to be rude..they should be more respectful to the elderly
Love going here! It's me and my wife's favorite burger joint every month or so. Don't be scared and get the Quint you'll be happy with your big burger. :) My only ONLY complaint is that the burger meat could have used some seasoning or maybe a bit of salt and pepper other than that id go multiple times a month if I could!
Had a ball!
overrated and pretentious. The burger was dry and bland, and the fries were undercooked.
Absolutely delicious, no long wait and great atmosphere.

It's the hole in the wall vibe which is cute, the girl working there was fine and the redhead dude was kinda obnoxious. It was (rounding the change up) 35$ for two triple burgers with nothing fancy added, which we were told and advised to get , in the dudes own words are " the average burger size anywhere else", and a large fried cauliflower... that was all we got. The food was good and fine but definitely not worth 14$ a burger and the pricing is not clear.

A historic Ann Arbor location going way back! Out of this world burgers piled high with heaping sides to boot. A legend packed with Ann Arbor charm, a must experience!

Place is horrible, they are extremely rude, food mediocre and the price doesn’t reflect the real final price, the basic price there is a bare hamburger. The hamburgers are the size of a piece of paper. Horrible!
