I love the place. Whenever I go to Ann Arbor I can't miss a stop here. The food was fresh. The service was quick. The ambience is awesome. Love the history of the place.

What Fleetwood Diner wants to be. Had an incredible burger. Asked the guy doing cold toppings to give me as much lettuce as he could without his boss getting mad at him and he gave me an entire side dish of lettuce. Awesome place.

READ THE MENU. THERE ARE TWO KINDS OF REGULAR BUN. Know what you want by the time there's a tray in your hand!

You are expected to deliver your order quickly and efficiently. No nonsense! I appreciate that.

The food was good, but the guy at the grill and the cashier around 6 pm on 10/18/25 had nasty attitudes. The girl was friendly. Would not rebuy its food if I saw the same two guys at the grill and register.

In town with the fam to see Zack Bryan. Best burger I had in a while but the fried vegi’s were even better. I kinda wish I was hung over just see how cured it would have been.

We are veterans of this place and have been coming for decades. We know how to order and know we NEED TRAYS and cannot EAT OFF THE TABLE. We also know this isn’t McDONALDS. We
Also know things should be clean and not have human hair in the burger.

We know the tongue in cheek “rudeness” and have no issue. But the next level rudeness we got treated with is inexcusable. We had people with limitations that could not speak loud enough to order for themselves. I’ll let you imagine how ridiculous the rudeness got. We had young children who were unable to communicate to order their own. Also induced ridiculous rudeness. To be honest there are a few places nearby that I’d rather spend my money at.

The guy behind the counter handling food was moving the garbage can and then handling food without washing his hands, threw out the food

I arrived at opening on a Sunday and asked for an egg on my burger. Runny. Over easy. Was told by the cook he only makes them fried. lol then I received the worst egg I’ve ever had on any burger in my life. So if you want a runny egg burger like I did go elsewhere. 3 guys in there working. None of them morning people apparently. It seemed like I annoyed them by showing up. I also wanted to try the chili and of course it wasn’t ready at opening. Seems like the burger would be fine if I didn’t get an egg on it or want an egg burger. Maybe just a bunch of mustard to help it as it was really really dry. The place is full of character though.

Could be cleaner in the seating area. Bread to meat ratio was off (too much bread) but taste was good. Anxiety to order food. But they are cool.

So funny, yet ridiculous, to see these stupid reviews from people who know nothing about the history of this place. The “rude” cook is what they are known for….just the style of this place. If you didn’t read about this place, it’s all on you!!!!
