Kroger is, at least in the Plymouth Rd. Ann Arbor location, the biggest gouger for prices I have ever seen. Food items are ridiculously priced!! Non-food items enter the realm of the absurd. After Kroger decided to redo the entire store they apparently thought the only people shopping there were living in the super rich new developments in the area. Reality Check. Middle Plymouth road is mostly an old poverty area of Ann Arbor. Students on North Campus also need a reasonably priced grocery store with items they want. Not counting the retired community. Not one cashier. I think we should organize a picket line on the sidewalk to draw attention to this rip off! Check out the owner of the strip center first. How about a "gouge" sticker next to the price on the shelf. No wonder the city wants to build high rises up and down North Plymouth Road. They are all in cahoots!

The very best pharmacists in Ann Arbor work at the Plymouth Rd. Kroger Pharmacy: Swapna and Min. I followed them from where they previously worked, the Maple Rd. Kroger Pharmacy about 12 years ago because they were so outstanding! And they have continued to be outstanding! My job at Catholic Social Services' Older Adult Services had given me the opportunity to survey older adults in Ann Arbor about their experiences with their pharmacists. As a result of that data, I learned that customers had uniformly been delighted with their experience with their service. Many thanks to Swampna and Min for their years of outstanding service!

Amazing layout. The sushi is the best I've ever had from a grocery store. Refreshing. Delicious. Great service.

I was in the bottle return room, and after getting the bottle return slip, I decided to deposit my bag of recycle items in a bin, where 100 other recycle bottles/cans were. I found out that container was going to landfill! How is it that apartment complexes, residents, Target, Whole Foods and others can make the right choice and offer recycling options and Kroger opts out of such an important environmental duty?! Shame on you Kroger.

No cashiers and lines for self service registers are over 10 customers long. Pay cashiers and let them work too.

TBH, I only go to this Kroger because it's the most convenient and affordable store nearby. It is definitely nothing to write home about. They are consistently experiencing a very low (and often disappointing) stock of produce and other essentials. I often go in with a recipe in mind, and have to change directions multiple times due to their low stock. On a positive note, the staff are usually friendly and the store is always clean!

1. All checkout is self service 2. I asked a question of customer service. They really didn't want to be disturbed and sent me to a self service cashier.3. I wanted to know if they carried two products. Cashier looked up one and said they didn't have it. Clearly, they didn't want to hear my second question. 4. Health Department should pull Kroger's potato salad in the deli case. It looked past its sell by date, as the mustard dressing was turning dark yellow. It will be a very long time before I return.

The pharmacy is great! Very KroGucci. The rest of the store is parts KroGucci, parts Krogross. They have some nice stuff, but then some parts are dingy. And they have free masks!

I was at register for 5 minutes, 3 people working, not one made eye contact. Service was terrible.

Sadly, due to Covid-19, the staffing shortages have drastically affected services- the last but not the least of which was I had to WAIT IN A LENGTHY LINE to scan and bag my over $200 worth of groceries myself -after shopping for them... I realize it's Covid's fault, but I'm going to find another Kroger at which to shop. Hopefully, they'll have someone working the meat dept., cashiers and baggers. If not- I'll be back over to Maple St. Thanks much to those who are able and continue to work. *I can't seem to delete this review. It pertains to the Maple St. Store- not Plymouth Rd.

I have shopped at this Kroger for 27 years and had many good experiences. However, at least five of my last experiences have been negative, including interactions with a fairly new female assistant manager. It's already stressful to shop with there being so few employees, but I sure don't need attitude from them. From asking to check lost and found or to make at least one of the bottle returns operatable (it took 45 min to return my bottles because they would only shake the full bin so more would fit, but 10 bottles later it would be full again), to impatiently saying, " Ma'am, I'm waiting for you to pay", when I was in the middle of packing my own groceries, these are just a few of the examples of poor customer service from their staff. They make negative remarks about large orders, as if a $200.00 grocery order is a negative for them. The only reason I go there at this point is the location and two excellent baggers who are hard working, helpful and friendly--Zoe and Cayley. Do better Kroger!

This was at one time a 5 star store. When the management changed it began its decline. Today as one enters the store a rotten, moldy heap of Pumpkins greets you (very strange that it's not cleaned up, as it spreads). Barren shelves (no cereals) and empty meat counters await inside. A giant liquor section where the Health Food used to be. A creepy uninviting Produce section. I can hardly believe that this is the same Kroger I shopped in for years.

I used to shop here often when I worked down the street on Dixboro Road. The store hasn't changed much. I drove an hour for my Covid19 shot since the Johnson and Johnson vaccine had been suspended. This was the closest place with appointments available. Checking into the pharmacy was very easy and they confirmed I didn't have any copay. After the shot, you have to wait 15 minutes before leaving. Make sure your phone is charged.
