Have been eating at Lucky Kitchen since 1998. When you deliver exactly what's expected for 28 years, it says something special.

Lucky Kitchen has a good variety of authentic Chinese food at reasonable prices. It’s surprising how few truly authentic Chinese restaurants there are in Ann Arbor, given the size of the Asian population. We eat here so often it’s become our go-to spot when we’re nearby.

I had a very disappointing experience at Lucky Kitchen. The server at the cash register was extremely rude and unprofessional. She barely seemed interested in answering any questions about the menu, which left me confused about how my order was being prepared.

I only ordered orange chicken, and it was terrible—bland, soggy, and it didn’t even come with any sauce on the chicken. I have never seen orange chicken served without the sauce already on it. Because of this, I called back to ask about it. The same server answered the phone and rushed me off, insisting that this is how their orange chicken is prepared and that I was supposed to pour the sauce on myself so it “wouldn’t get soggy.”

Unfortunately, after my 15-minute drive home, the chicken was already soggy anyway. The explanation made no sense, and the attitude made the situation even worse. I was so disappointed and unsatisfied that I threw the entire meal away.

I will not be returning and will never recommend this place to anyone.

(Somehow my review keeps gets edited by someone other than me)! This experience remind me of the late 60s. You can't trust every restaurant intentionally sabotage your food. The owner was in the store when I receive this horrific chili sauce dish. More chili sauce then vegetables. When the service comes from the owner. This must mean take this dish and don't come back

Best Asian food we've found in Ann Arbor! Highly recommend the orange chicken and sesame chicken. Our three normally picky eaters loved it!

went in for carry out, kung pao shrimp, we eat seafood but not meat. I was headed the meal, no reciept saying kung poa shrimp, got home and found the dish had chicken. A bit frustrating as I confirmed with the cashier it was shrimp and not chicken. I won't go back.

Solid option for Chinese food on the north side of town. Chefs special menu is great, portion sizes are generous.

You can see the whole kitchen, its spotless. The quality is high, staff have always been nice and efficient with getting orders out. This is a solid and consistent choice if you're in the area. Very small place, ultra clean with great food.👍

I'm a pescatarian. I take very good care to read the menu and the ingredients. Hot and sour soup had chicken in it. I've never seen that. It was loaded with chicken -the only choice I had was spice level and yet they threw in chicken. The wonton? Overcooked and filled with pork. The wontons I am used to are filled with crab and cheese. Were the ingredients listed? Again, no. Additionally the wontons were overcooked. Even the fortune cookie was stale. I called and asked her to please replace the order with vegetarian food and she refused. She said, you didn't tell me you were a vegetarian- I said, I eat fish, that's why I ordered the crab wonton. But it was pork. She said wontons are always pork. I said how would I know that? You have to include the ingredients on your menu. And I ordered through Instacart, I didn't tell you anything. I didn't get any lunch and I am not a rich person so I'll be having cheese and crackers for dinner.
