BEST SUSHI IN ANN ARBOR. service is incredibly fast--especially for the amount of workers they have at once (generally 1 or 2). the prices are SO fair and reasonable for college students. the quality of the fish is insane and everything is so delicious. just try

Great food with great portions. They have a large menu with lots of things to pick from, and great tasting sushi! I've been here so many times, and it never disappoints. If you want a nice hot bowl of ramen when it's cold out, or sushi in the summer, this is the place! Staff are kind and attentive, and genuinely want you to enjoy your food.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options usually labeled next to non vegetarian options.

My favorite lunch spot in Ann Arbor. Big portions of noodles at good prices that are also delicious. Service is fast even when busy.
Decent food and nice staff, with a campus restaurant feel. Overall, the food is pretty good, although the sashimi I had was a little all over the board. I was also less than impressed with the Mama Satto Ramen, but the bao was tasty. The prices seem a bit high for the quality of food, and even though I knew about the 18% automatic gratuity ahead of time, I was still put off by it. I would much rather see higher prices on the menu than have an extra charge hidden on the check (labeled "surcharge"), with a prompt below for a tip, and no indication that the tip was already priced in. Just seems a bit shady to me, and although I'm not a fan of the tipping system in America, I don't think this is an improvement. In general, I think there are much better places in town for both sushi and ramen, and I would much rather support those places.

So I ordered curry rice bc the menu said there was beef in it and I really like beef so take this with a grain of salt. There was only one piece of beef and one piece of carrot. I honestly wouldn't mind paying more if it'd mean getting more than just sauce over rice. don't get this if you're looking for a filling meal.

The food, service, and atmosphere are lovely. We went after the Michigan Championship parade and they gave everyone soup and tea to warm up. I got the hibachi noodles and definitely recommend it!
Definitely recommend this restaurant! I've eaten sushi at this place plenty of times, and they never fail to disappoint. The dishes they serve are great, my favorite being the paradise sushi rolls or the curry udon. The staff is so very friendly and attentive, even when they're very busy. The miso soup and water they serve you while waiting always hits the spot for an appetizer. The ambiance usually provides a perfect place to relax your mind while waiting for the food to arrive, and it's at its best when not very busy.

Again, like most places in the midwest. It's not 'objectively' good. They do not season their sushi rice (or if they do it is nearly undetectable) and overstuff the rolls with rice. The soy sauce is low quality, and tastes like something you might get from panda express or the bulk soy sauce at kroger, no umani flavor whatsoever. However, the woman who runs it is very nice and the service is fast. Hence, the three stars.

We ordered sushi which was not that great, the rice was overcompressed and the fish was OK but nothing more. All the other tables ordered soups and they all looked and smelled great. The service was very good.

food is good, but the service is so horribly bad. I got takeouts. The first time I went there, I ordered food and stood at the front desk and waiting. She kicked me out and ordered me to stand outside the restaurant as if I disturbed her dine in customers. The second time I got my food preordered online. I went there and she asked me to wait for a sec which was fine. She asked me to follow her. For a moment, I thought she was leading me a some secret places where she preserved my food in warm. No, she asked me to follow her and handed out my food. As soon as I got my food I was about to leave. She then pointed me some where and COMMANDED me “NEXT TIME OUTSIDE!” As if my presence ruined the whole elegant atmosphere of her exquisite restaurant. And only dine in people deserved good services and the permission of entering the restaurant through the main gate. We our Togo customers could only sneak in and leave quietly and do not interrupt their eating services. Am I a house maid from Downton Abbey?? I could even feel better if she says something like we got a lane for takeouts. So snobbish if that’s how I was treated compared to others.
