Fun, unique spot, giving everything you would want out of a basement bar with live music. Drink and cocktail selection is great, with a lot of variety and fair pricing. Many different nooks and areas to settle depending on what you are wanting to experience.

Bad service, my friend got assaulted here too. Took us 30 minutes to get one drink at the bar.

Unique basement bar with live music. Kind of cool that all of the walls and ceilings are covered with signatures from customers. They provide the chalk as well!

Jen was the best bartendress in the world- she hooks it up. Truly a savant behind the bar. Like Rembrandt painting- but mixing up some killer mixed drinks & PBRs

Mash offers a pretty solid bar-going experience in Ann Arbor. A group of us stopped by recently after a night downtown, looking to find somewhere we could grab a drink and catch up. Mash fit the bill (pun intended hah) and did the job just fine.

The drink menu is pretty expansive, both as far as liquor selection and cocktails as well. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that they have a few standard mocktails that they’re known for! I tried the raspberry mock mule, and I’m happy to report that it’s a hit. Great flavor and super refreshing, plus it offers a fun drink even if you’re not drinking. The bartender was super nice and helped break down all the options as well.

The crowd at mash is more collegiate than I was expecting — I thought a whiskey inspired bar would driver an older crowd, but the bar was packed with early 20-somethings on a Saturday night. If you show up past 9pm on the weekend, there’s a good chance you won’t find a seat and will have to wait 20 minutes to get through the line at the bar, but Mash serves as a great place to meet up with the crew. As we were leaving around 11, we spotted a huge line out the door trying to get in too; it seems like the collegiate clientele have really designated Mqsh as the place to be on a weekend night!

Overall, I’d recommend Mash — I’m looking forward to going back and trying out more of their menu!

In basement, with an authentic dive bar vibe. Good band playing covers when I was there. Small, but active dance floor. Some interesting craft beers. Order at the bar. Presume you can order food from Pretsel Bell upstairs. I didn't check the bathrooms.

It was $20 for one shot of whiskey and I went across the street and I got the same thing at sidetrack for eight dollars. I will never come back to this place.

Great place to catch some live music with much cheaper beer than main street.

This was a really cool spot! Whiskey selection was pretty good and I had several while there. The bartender made a couple decent cocktails.

The atmosphere is really cool and it was live music on a Thursday!

Always a good time at Mash with friends. Drink deals are good, I recommend the Grandpa combo :) music is pretty much always excellent, there’s something for everyone. Security cares about maintaining a safe environment.
