Love love love the Hillel Cafe! Chef Emil is a master in the kitchen and always coming up with creative and delicious concoctions. The staff is very friendly and happy to accommodate special needs or requests. As the only Kosher cafe in the county, they have quite the job to service not only the UM campus community, but the Ann Arbor community too. I appreciate that its open to the public and provides catering services as well.

Very welcoming to all.

I always enjoyed coming to the Hillel Cafe for fresh, unique and delicious kosher dishes! The menu changes everyday, which Chef Emil posts online. You can join the Hillel meal plan, or pay with blue bucks, credit card or cash!

Easily the highest quality food in Ann Arbor for the lowest price. Chef Emil serves at least 4 creative and hearty dishes every day for lunch and dinner. The menu changes every night, and usually includes a meat, chicken, and fish option. This is not a full service restaurant. You can pick up your food from the window in the basement of the Hillel building and either eat at Hillel, or take home to enjoy. You can even take it home and tell your friends you made it! Either way, you are sure to enjoy some delicious, inventive, locally sourced food.

The rooms upstairs are great for quiet study time! Not many people know about then so there is generally space. Plus free wifi!
