Working on the start to a sky rise just a half block away, and I found my spot!! Unbelievable staff, the owner is awesome, and the food was to die for! I haven't been this satisfied mid shift in a long time!!! Cannot wait to take my family there. The inside is small very cool and awesome memorabilia, news articles etc. It tells the story on the walls. This is TOM BRADYS GO TO PLACE while he attended Michigan University. And I see why. Go check it out. They deserve it!

I'm there 2 or 3 times a month to pick up a Chicken Hoagie. It's a simple sandwich, that I've tried to dupe@ home with little success. I travel extensively for work from west Michigan, and slam a lot of take out on the road. This is by far the BEST hot sandwich.. in..the.. State.... Full Stop... Keep it up SPOTS!

I came in like anyone would do and bought some chicken strips. They were 14$ and then I realized it doesn’t come with a drink or fries and it says nothing about this on the menu. I ended up spending 23$ for some chicken strips and French fries. No where to park anywhere around. They really try and get every single dollar they possibly can from you.

I’m from New England, and when I started going to UMich I learned this was Tom Brady’s favorite spot so of course I had to try it. I went to grade school in PA so I have had authentic cheesteaks, these are the real deal you won’t be disappointed! Cheese fries are top notch and I want to try the wings next. The owner is a really nice guy each time I’ve come in, greets many by name or recognition, and they’re quick with the orders. Love it here!

(Last visited July 13, 2023.) The cheesesteak game in southeast Michigan is pretty impressive, so I've made it a mission of mine to check out every one of these spots that someone recommends to me. So here we are today in Ann Arbor to check out Mr. Spots! Atmosphere/Appearance: It's as simple as you want it to be and as unchanged as ever. University of Michigan sports memorabilia and pictures plaster the walls. There's the quintessential drop-ceiling, light wooden paneling on the walls, rounded bench seats and TVs for menus. I don't remember music playing, but there had to be, right? Service: You just go to the counter and order your food then it's brought right out to you. Nothing crazy and we had no issues. Food: I started off with their Philly Original which pays homage to, well, you can guess. Lol. Their own cheesesteak version has like, marinara, onions, peppers and all kinds of stuff on it, but I'm here for the Philly! I got their 10" and the bread was soft, the meat was cooked well, the American cheese-wiz was tasty, but it was fine. It was pretty standard for a cheesesteak, nothing crazy. I was also able to try their Suicide Sauce with both a waffle fry and a wing. It was HOT. About a 7 on the Weavi Heat Scale (I.Y.K.Y.K.). I could definitely handle it and went back for extra dips. The sauce had plenty of good flavor alongside the heat. Value: Cheap eats here man. I'm happy Mr. Spot's has been able to keep the prices low-enough for college students to be able to have a decent meal here without breaking their bank. In conclusion, I liked it here! Would I go out of my way looking for Tom Brady's favorite cheesesteak that got him through college? Nah, but the food here IS GOOD! I wanna come back and check out their other flavors of wings! But there's a reason Mr. Spots has been here so long! Make sure you come and check out why.
