So let me tell you about my sister in law date here. We both wanted to get seafood boils while in Ann Arbor, especially since we don’t have any where we live. We wanted the dinner order, which was a pound of food. We were well aware of the amount of food we wanted, when I ordered the lady went to take the menus and my sister in law expressed she wanted the same thing I was having. The waitress yelled at us that it was too much food and that we’d get the lunch which was 1/2 pound of food. We were annoyed but we wanted seafood boils. While eating the atmosphere was loud and she never refilled our drinks. So when we paid I did not tip, and when she took back my receipt she proceeded to yell at me for not tipping her. Excuse me, tip is a choice not a requirement and I don’t care what society says is correct, I was raised you get a tip based off performance. My opinion the performance was terrible.

This restaurant is in a strip mall but don’t let it fool you. The food is delicious and the owners are super friendly and accommodating. We had the hibachi shrimp and the seafood boil with crab and shrimp. Both excellent!!

I came in today on june 27th returned for my second time because the fried rice is good with sauce also u will be getting charged for sauce with your fried rice doesnt come with it which is weird but the lady at the register talked me into getting hibachi even tho i only came for fried rice when my food came up she didnt mention what came in it just chicken im allergic to mushrooms it was mushrooms through the whole thing i asked if she could at least swap the food our or something she said i said nothing so shes not helping me with anything even tho i stated i didnt know mushrooms came in the meal she talked me into getting now i have $32 worth of food i cant eat and she was super rude and ignorant i will not be returning to this restaurant again i have never felt so disrespected and robbed before by a restaurant i hope my review can help others as well dont come here if u have allergies they dont care here !
A Perfect seafood Gem hidden right near home! They did NOT disappoint! 👏 🤤 First impression I wasn't sure if they were dine in but they absolutely are! And they are super cozy! We dined in on a free appetizer of delicious fried chicken while we waited for our carry out! We did a boil mix of 🌽 🥔 sausage, 🦀 , lobster, 🍤 and clams! In 😅 when we got home we did realize the clams were missing, which we called and they rectified immediately by adding it to our next order (we WILL be back 😋 😍 ) and staff was so polite and eager to serve!! The entire dish was absolutely delicious large portioned seasoned perfectly and we now have a favorite spot! Did I mention they ALSO do HITACHI?! 🤤 🤤 ❤️ 10 OUT OF 10. We came here when someone said, if you like HOOK & REEL, you'll LOVEEEE JJ'S!!

This is absolutely one of the best seafood restaurants in town! The staff here is so nice and accommodating and the food is consistently top notch. Love getting their hibachi meals to go as they always have great quality shrimp, chicken and really fresh vegetables. Their snow crab is also best in the area with awesome flavor and solid add-ons. Consider me a happy regular customer of this place and their little coupons they give out keep me coming back for more!
