Not recommend this place at all!! The food was bad, and the service also.

We had heard this was the best Italian in Ann Arbor from the locals, the first night we attempted to go there it was an 1.5 hour wait, we made reservations for the next night. We are so glad we did, everything was outstanding. The ravioli appetizer was wonderful! They are huge fried ravioli on pesto and red maniara sauce. Both chicken dishes were absolutely amazing! Would absolutely go back next time were in town!

Pesto cavatappi and the chicken Marsala were exceptional. Also ordered the chocolate espresso cake which was wonderful.

Waitress seemed a little too pushy even tho it was 17 of us. We come to Ann Arbor as part of the NTI yearly training. You would think a little more respect would be obvious since we add millions to this local economy.

Palio is always solid. Good food, good environment, good service.
Lovely atmosphere, very kind and attentive servers, and the food is delicious. They recently switched to their own made pasta, and its delicious (slightly undercooked however). Nevertheless its great. I’ve taken my parents, my partner’s and her family, and I’m dying to come back!

Met old friends for dinner at Palio's tonight. We haven't been downtown in years and were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to park near the restaurant. Our dishes (fish of the day, rigatoni lucchese, and fettuccine alfredo) were tasty and the servers were mostly attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu (although perhaps the restaurant may have been a little thinly staffed as our server oftentimes seemed busy elsewhere). The desserts--lemon bar and tiramisu--were both
delicately nuanced and very good. On the whole, it was a very pleasant evening and we would definitely go to Palio again when we are in the mood for Italian.

We made a reservation for a work dinner.
This is the second time I’ve been here and it’s still not been a good experience.
Needless to say this was a great vibe due to our staff but not the place nor the food.
Our server seemed extremely stressed with everything - even when asked for a coke. Apps were brought out with no silverware or napkins. Took forever to find someone to get them to wipe our hands from the grease. We had gotten the bread with olive oil at the table. The olive oil was just that, olive oil. Please at least put some spices! Overall good for apps. However dinner was beyond underwhelming. All of our food was not cooked - pasta very underdone. 90% of it was left uneaten because we couldn’t stomach the al dente noodles. PS - this is an Italian restaurant…they should know how to cook noodles.
We work in customer service and it’s clearly lacking. Can’t blame the workers on this - they’re all stressed and running around with their heads cut off.
So if you think you want to go here - I literally recommend anywhere else.
Don’t trust the local reviewers, they are given good food due to who they are!

Our server Kate/katie? was super nice and accommodating and timely! The fettuccine alfredo was better than anyone I've ever had and the fried ravioli was so so yummy and so is the garlic bread. The gluten-free ziti was hardly noticeable as gluten-free and was such a good surprise!

So much great flavor. The tomato white wine, leek soup was spot on. Our server had a European style and accent about her and did a great job. My first full meal after major surgery I loved it. Three us went we were all happy.
