First the good…The food was delicious with great flavor. Exceptional hummus, pita bread, and soups. Fresh and tasty juice drinks. I had the mint lemonade which I would order again and it complimented the food very well, Baklava was the Best! Great chef! However, we were disappointed with the service. I requested cilantro sprinkled on my lentil soup. The waitress did not know what cilantro was even when I pointed to the word on the menu. She got the chef to come to our table and he told her yes. We each ordered soup but only one came. The wrong drink was delivered. Requested yogurt dip did not come. We were so mesmerized by the cute robot that we did not notice what was amiss at first. The final disappointment was that only styrofoam boxes were offered for taking food out for those dining in. There are nice plastic containers but only for the gift shop and carry out orders. Why contaminate fresh healthy food by putting it in styrofoam? Paper and cardboard are great options which this restaurant does not offer. I was told by management that styrofoam is cheaper. But the prices charge are premium. Bring your own takeaway containers if like me you try to keep chemicals and microplastics out of your food.

At Palm Palace you’re treated like royalty! The food is amazing, with flavorful meals, soft and fluffy bread, and huge portions that make it the best value in Ann Arbor. The service is just as great. Our waitress Hoda was so kind and made sure we had a wonderful evening. If I could give it more stars I would! Highly recommend!
