Just tried out Pilarās and Iām a huge fan!! The tamales are what I came for, I got the spicy pulled pork that came with some homemade salsa, so so good. First time ever trying a Pupusas; corn tortilla with bean and cheese and filled it with their pickled cabbage and of course, salsa; excellent. Iāve never been a big fan of plantainsā¦ these little bad boys were incredible.

Best tamales around. Great drinks, the hibiscus and watermelon are my favorites, all made from scratch. Plantians were great and so was everything else. Try the fried Yuca, it takes a minute to cook but so worth the wait. Can't wait to go back.

The pupusas were the worst I have ever had. They were not made fresh, they were the ones that you can get in the frozen food section.
I remember getting these pupusas at the grocery store and thought they were a very poor excuse for pupusas but were a quick snack on par with microwave pizza rolls. The ones they have at this restaurant are worse than that. Absolutely terrible.
If I could give negative stars I could, it's bad.
I don't normally leave reviews for bad restaurants, but I just had to this time. The audacity to charge as much as they do for these pupusas is crazy. It's highway robbery. You can get the real thing for much cheaper elsewhere. I got 2 "pupusas", plantains, and a horchata for almost $30.
How can the worst pupusas I've ever had also be the most expensive? it blows my mind.

I traveled 40 minutes because I was craving pupusas and I was not disappointed! Not only was the food incredible, Sylvia is such a kind hearted, sweet and amazing person. Do yourself a favor and stop in here, get a few pupusas and the horchata drink. It truly tastes like Iām back in El Salvador and I couldnāt be more satisfied.
