This is a huge restaurant in a good location and across from a big public parking garage, so good as a last resort when it's a busy weekend in A2 and everything else is booked. Go anywhere else if you have the option.
I had a very disappointing experience at Pizza House. The pricing on their menu is extremely misleading. What they list as the price of a pizza (around $17 for a personal deep dish or small Sicilian) is not even the full pizza — it’s just the cost of the dough and sauce, without any cheese or standard toppings. You’re essentially paying a high base price for what isn’t even a complete pizza.
When I added normal toppings like green pepper, oregano, mushrooms, or mozzarella, I was shocked to find out I was being charged $1.25 to $3.75 per topping — totaling $6.75 and $21.00 extra on top of already expensive base prices. To make it worse, there’s also a 4.95% “Admin Fee” that was not disclosed when I ordered.
This kind of pricing structure is not clearly explained anywhere on the menu. It felt like a bait-and-switch. Customers deserve transparency, especially when basic ingredients like cheese aren’t included in the base cost. I would not return, and I strongly recommend asking detailed questions before ordering here.
Expensive
I ordered turkey salad, the pic showed real turkey breast but it came with the sliced kind you make sandwiches with
The pizza was fine. No complaints there. My issue came from one particular member of staff. While waiting for my pick-up order, I overheard an older staff member talking to the hostess about politics. Claiming that democrats want modern day slavery, in their defense of undocumented citizens. He then went on to say that democrats created slavery. He finished his rant by saying you have to have a mental illness to vote for democrats. It took every ounce of restraint not to get involved in the conversation.
The pizza was fine. The atmosphere was awful.
I recently ordered a cheese pizza, veggie pizza, pepperoni pizza, and a salad for a group. The online ordering process was easy, and everything was ready at the specified time. The order was accurate and complete. Special thanks to Manager Jayden, who was friendly, courteous, and clearly passionate about ensuring a great dining experience. I will definitely order from here again. I also appreciate that they are open late at night!
We had a great time here! The pizza came out perfectly cooked and the service was good.
I honestly dont understand how these guys are still in business. Food is mediocre at best and costs atleast twice what it should. Not to mention they use stock photos for their food on the menus so what you get is vastly different from what you order.
Slow service for a Friday night that was no where near capacity. We were in our seats for over 15 minutes before a server could greet us. Drinks arrived with the appetizers after a long wait. Appetizers were served lukewarm to cold. Food was ok, nothing special. The large pizza we ordered was average, you would expect more for $41.50. It's disappointing that this Ann Arbor staple can no longer live up to its reputation. It's not a one off, this has been our experience the last three visits. I'm hopeful they can restore their former glory and quality.
The ambience was very much and we were seated right away. Our server wasn't very attentive, someone else brought our food out and by time she came to our table to ask if we needed anything, we were just about done with our food. Our appetizers also came out at the same time as our entrees. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves
Pizza House is my absolute go-to when in Ann Arbor. The original chipati is the best! I typically eat here 3x every time I'm in town. (Order the chipati with WHITE bread!! Not wheat!) Great breakfast food here too. The food is just a tad pricey, but doesn't stop me from eating here.

Server was nice, however slow with drinks. Kitchen appeared to have messed up our orders. Received a roast beef sandwich instead of a roast beef sub, received a regular crust pizza instead of thin crust, asked for BBQ sauce for a pulled pork sandwich - that took 10 minutes to receive. Burger was over done and request for onions and blue cheese too 10 minutes to receive. Overall not the best experience. We've been here in the past and have really enjoyed it. Hopefully, today was just an off day.
Very mid, so overpriced, 27$ chipati with rotten tomatoes, and now they are charging an admin fee of 4% on your bill. It was dead in there and service was below average.

Way overpriced. Large Sicilian pizza is over 40 dollars plus a mandatory 5% service fee, 20% large party tip and they expect you to tip on top of that. Without drinks or apps you're looking at 30 dollars a person minimum for pizza. Sicilian was good, thin crust terrible, burger bad but you can make reservations and stay for umich games so that's the only plus.
