We walked in and the music and vibe were a great way to start our Saturday. The owner was working the cash register and was oozing passion. He greeted us with a smile and walked us through the menu. We got 2 rice bowls, medium spice, pork belly and brisket, a side of waffle fries, and 2 drinks. While we waited for our food we heard the staff singing along to the 80’s music and genuinely having a great time. When our food was ready they called us by name and delivered to us, piping hot and smelling great. We got all the toppings on our rice bowls and glad that we did. BBQ was top notch, brisket and pork belly melted in our mouths, great fusion of bbq and asian. Great service, great hospitality, great food. The soda machine was pouring Detroit City Hand-Crafted Soda, made with cane sugar- awesome to see. Winning combo all around. Awesome to see people enjoy doing what they do!

I'm in here once or twice a week. No one is doing it like them. The monthly specials are insane. Try the wings if you can catch them when they're available.

I hadn't realized Ricewood had a dedicated location on the West side of Ann Arbor. Same delicious food and fast, friendly service in the new location but only limited seating inside with a view of the strip mall parking lot. I personally prefer the outdoor seating option of their original location. I went with their pork belly rice bowl with pickled red onions and was not disappointed! I will definitely be coming back!

The food and services were absolutely grate! However I do suggest less sauce or so put inside the bowls, the brisket was amazing. But it was a little too salty. Keep it up!

I would get mad at you all for buying out what I want before I'm off of work, but it is very understandable haha.

We ordered catering from Ricewood on 7/19/25 for my daughters high school grad party. As usual, ricewood did not disappoint. Everyone at our party was so complimentary of the food and how delicious it was. This is our go to BBQ place. The one star reviews are crazy. We’ve never had a bad experience.

Drove by this place several times and had several friends tell me how good the bbq was. After the Art Fair we stopped by for dinner. The food was amazing. We tried the pulled pork sandwich and bowl. Intrigued to try the bbq tofu. It was really tasty. The service was great. The portions are generous. We have enough food for couple of meals. Definitely will return to try the brisket (sold out).

It's not my thing - no fault of the place. I am not a fan of the soy in my rice. The kimchi is good and the brisket is juicy but more fat than I would prefer. Again, it's more my taste preference - everyone here was great.

The brisket is the best I've ever had. BBQ is rarely my first choice for cuisine in general, except for Ricewood. I'm highly doubtful that brisket can taste any better than this.

Heck yeah man! This was one of the best fast casual experiences I have ever had. The food was kick-ass, the guy behind the counter was super nice and walked us through our first order.

I had the pulled pork bowl with pickled onions and medium spice, holy cow! The waffle fries were *chefs kiss* and the sodas were all local.

Plus everything you use is compostable, the bowls, the cups, the FORKS! We need one of these in Flint!

P.S. The punk/screamo music added an energy that soothed my millennial soul.

I'm an absolute feind for their specials, this is the kinda place where you buy the special not even knowing what it is and walk away with a meal you will remember for life

Best BBQ in Ann Arbor, arguably Michigan. Wings are out of this world and very reasonably priced, service is always speedy. Ribs are a go to as well
