Let's be real: it's a college bar. The music is usually pretty solid and the drink motto is quantity over quality. If you're coming here for high quality drinks, I would recommend you go across the street to Gar Bar. It’s kind of funny how it’s called Rick’s American Café, it’s nothing like a café. It’s very very different. I definitely had some good times when an undergrad. However, I also had some bad times. It’s just kind of a sketchy college club. But you can definitely have a good time.
Classic undergrad bar, tough on fake IDs, very popular on Friday nights. Better drink deals on Thursdays. Dark dance floor that can get kind of aggressive. I or my friends been groped/followed almost every time we've gone here, and if that doesn't happen, someone will definitely push you. It's fun but also too much sometimes.
