This place has quickly become a regular stop. Everything has been exceptional and it's very clear that they hold themselves to a high standard. The plates are always excellent but if you need something smaller the sandwiches are also an easy recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: Front door is on a ramp, should be fully accessible.

We first encountered Satchel’s while exploring for dinner & lunch options. My son, now 13, is a picky eater. But he took to you like a slow roasted brisket. For the first time he was trying new flavors and enjoying his food journey.Trying other BBQ restaurants ended with “can we go back to MY bbq place?”Nowadays we use Satchel’s as a “reward” and his excitement is always the same, “can we go now?” Our son considers your menu the best bbq, and he’s not wrong. Our whole family enjoys your culinary masterpieces and kind service.This past weekend was a reward for hard work in (early) spring cleaning around the house.We never place an order without cornbread. While my son orders double mac-n-cheese as his sides, I’m partial to the baked beans & coleslaw (either vinegar or mayo based - I’m not picky ?). Ordered takeout again after seeing the news about smoked pork belly! It was amazing! Satchel's brisket is always a favorite too. So many sides to choose from, and they are all good. Haven't tried this place yet? Do so! The set up of the business seems like they treat employees well. The guys on duty Friday night were so pleasant, helpful and efficient.

We have been going to Satchel’s since 2016. We live in Flint and always make the drive out with our family to sit and eat. The food has always been great. The service has always been great. I have recommended and taken friends & family here for many years and I will continue to go there for many years to come!We get the Shelley plate which is 3 sides and cornbread. Usually I’ll choose Mac & cheese, greens and mashed potatoes if they have them that day. Then I will get a brisket & chicken plate with two sides and cornbread and get mac & cheese and the stew. I split that between myself and my three children. Depending on my husbands hunger he may get his own dinner and sides or he will split it with us! It really is a great amount of food.Kid-friendliness: We bring our kids here all the time and have never had an issue.
