I have never eaten such bad food in my life.very bad experience
Worst, Pathetic response and totally zero customer service. I wish there is a negative rating for this place.
Excellent date spots, great vegetarian options although lacking in pure vegan options.
Lunch buffet has plenty of choices and is deliciously filling.
The containers for delivery orders could be larger, though.

A masterclass in layered spices. The Lamb Rogan Josh is a deep, slow-cooked symphony. The Biryani is perfectly dum-cooked, with each grain distinct. This isn't just food; it's craft.

Our study group's headquarters. We'll camp out for hours with laptops, and the staff is super cool about it as long as we order. We always get the Assorted Bread Basket to share (the Chilli Naan has a kick!) and a couple of big curries like Chicken Handi or Aloo Gobi. The free WiFi and unlimited refills on chai? Lifesavers. Food that fuels both the brain and the soul.

Hosting a mix of dietary preferences is easy here. The vegetarian offerings, like the sublime Palak Paneer and the hearty Veg Biryani, are substantial and flavorful enough to impress any meat-eater, making group business dinners seamless.

Appreciate the attention to detail.Flawless table settings, timely water refills, and servers who can knowledgeably describe dishes like the Bagare Baingan or the difference between Korma and Vindaloo. It reflects well on my choice of venue.

In business, reliability is key. Shalimar is the most reliable restaurant I know. The Chicken Makhani is the same perfect dish today as it was three years ago. That consistency is why I bring associates here.

Perfect for a productive working lunch. The lunch Thali specials are a smart choice—a complete, balanced, and timely meal that doesn't sacrifice quality. The Vegetarian Thali, in particular, is light yet satisfying, allowing for an afternoon of clear-headed work.

Had a crucial lunch meeting with an international client. The refined atmosphere of Shalimar set the right tone. We shared the Assorted Bread Basket as an interactive starter, and both chose the elegantly spiced Chicken Lababdar. The successful deal was definitely sealed over that exquisite meal.

I’ve dined in before and the meal was decent but recently ordered take out for one of their “tandoori specials” - for the price of $28.99 I was shocked when I received the very light bag. Inherently, I inspected the bag to see if everything was there and it seemed I was only missing the naan. The manager was very helpful and ran a fresh piece out to my car, but I was still dubious by the looks of the portion and weight of the bag.
When I got home, my suspicions were unfortunately proved true, and for the whopping price of nearly $30, I got 4 small pieces of potato curry, maybe 1 chicken breast worth of tandoori chicken, 3 measly pieces of paneer, a small cup of rice, and a singular piece of naan.
Also, I didn’t realize upon first inspection (my fault, I guess?) but they also forgot the mint chutney 🙄 what is tandoor without mint chutney!! At this rate I’m so frustrated I don’t even want to eat this food.
Considering the regular half chicken tandoori is $18.99, I expected at least a half chicken’s worth. The manager did mention this was a new dish (not sure if that’s just excuse for naan mistake) but in general I was really disappointed. Don’t think I will be back.

Seemingly pretty authentic, large variety and all pretty tasty. Discount for students which is always awesome. Been served by Kurt on multiple occasions and he's always amazing.

We enjoyed our experience. Service was quick and attentive without being intrusive. The food is delicious. I wish they had a larger wine list, but that's my only knock on our dinner.
Came for the landmarks, will remember the food. Shalimar is a destination in itself. The ambiance is vibrant, the food is artfully presented (the Biryani served in a pot!), and the flavors are unforgettable. Took a menu home as a souvenir!

We went for the buffet and it looked beautiful… but *everything* (except the rice) had cilantro. I’m Benadryl levels of allergic. BUT staff was extremely kind and accommodating and made me a dish without any cilantro (mattar paneer, heavenly sauce). Mango lassi was delicious. Desserts, also delicious.
Excellent service and atmosphere, and I really appreciated the cilantro accommodation.
