Great food. Accommodated request for not spicy. And authentic cooking. Price is decent t value for money.

The food was ok and the service was worst I have seen in a long time. The server never showed after initial order and the wait times for food and check were long. Almost felt like they did not really care. Will try to avoid this place in the future.

Great Indian restaurant experience in a fantastic downtown Ann Arbor location. The food and service were both enjoyable.

Love this place. We always go when in town. Spice level 2 is wonderfully flavorful without being too spicy for us.

Possibly the best Indian food I've ever eaten!!! Excellent service, all around fabulous experience.

Everything that we tried was delicious. The portions were ample and the service was great. Will definitely eat here again.

Very good Indian food and excellent service! The vegetarian options are great. The samosas were outstanding, and we also really enjoyed the dal panchratan and bagare baingan. As with most authentic Indian restaurants, medium is pretty spicy! David, our waiter, was great in answering questions about the menu and took good care of us. I'd recommend for a great casual meal in Ann Arbor.

I have been here several times while visiting my children at UMICH. Service is always quick and courteous. Food is always delicious. Great value!

The buffet bar had more vegetarian options with better selections than I remembered from past years. I was also glad that the food wasn't spicy as I prefer it mild.

Important! A 20% tip is already included on your bill and they don't tell you that! The bill also includes a tip calculator and asks for a tip so you could end up tipping double! Beware!

I came in to Shalimir for a lunch buffet. I asked to use the bathroom prior to eating. I go to the women’s bathroom and someone had defecated all over the toilet and had NOT flushed. Immediately my appetite was spoiled but I went ahead and tried the food. The options were limited already so I decided to sample everything. Absolutely nothing was good. The chicken for the butter chicken and other entrees were super tough and tough the eat. The Naan was super stale and cold. The rice was hard and dry. The only thing I found decent was the cold water that was served with the meal. I would not recommend this buffet by any means as for $16.95 I expect at least a semi decent experience not this unsatisfactory and down right trifling experience.

Had the lamb korma, palak paneer, and garlic naan. Asked for very mild, but the lamb korma was too spicy for me. Palak paneer was good, as was the garlic naan.

The staff was extra friendly and the service was prompt. I was told thank you for my purchase...not bad for it to be located in the heart of Wolverine country.?
