Side Biscuit is a hidden gem in Ann Arbor that serves up some of the best wings in Michigan. They are crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. What really sets them apart is their incredible lineup of house-made sauces, each one bold and unique. Whether you like it sweet, spicy, tangy, or an umami bomb, there’s a sauce that’ll keep you coming back. It’s carry out only. The vibe is casual, the service is friendly, and the food is consistently top-tier. If you’re a wing lover, Side Biscuit is a must-visit.

I heard about Side Biscuit from a few friends who suggested I stop by and pick up a plate of their wings, plus a side biscuit for lunch. Since I generally work from home, I decided to head there around 1 pm after a staff call. As I approached, I saw two men sitting at a picnic table and noticed the door propped open, so I walked inside, remaining in the customer area. I spotted a man behind the counter busying himself with something and greeted him. I didn't expect him to assist me immediately, but what happened next really soured my mood. Nothing. I stood there for what felt like an eternity, and nothing happened. After an uncomfortably long wait, I opted to go to my usual spot, the Produce Station, and left. As I exited, one of the men at the picnic table called out to me, asking if I had been helped. I didn’t respond. I’m not sure if it was my kafiya or my Arab complexion, but they wouldn't serve me.

Nothing special. Spend the extra money you save by not going here on a Dimond or a trip to Tahiti.

Little hole in the wall. Liked the wings and shoe string fries.

I was expecting way more of this place. I saw all the hype it got. The wings aren’t terrible, but for that to be their primary focus it needs to be BETTER. It also was really expensive for 10 wings (18.99). The wings were cooked well. The bqq wings were sweet, but they weren’t that tangy. The Buffalo wings were okay. They weren’t my favorite. The blue cheese was good however and it seemed to be homemade! I wish I did get a chance to try the biscuit however. The service was good! They were quicker than the expected time, and it didn’t seem that busy.

This place serves super delicious wings and chicken sandwiches and biscuits. The traditional flavors are done to a very high quality. The chef takes a lot of inspiration from Asian cuisines in crafting some of the other sauces in sometimes surprising and extremely creative ways. The sandwich of the week is always a solid choice.

Super cool place. I was at my son’s baseball game in Burn’s park and wanted to grab food before heading home and Google showed this was super close. I had never been and unfortunately never had heard about it. The reviews were legit so I gave it a shot.

I ordered some wings, a biscuit, and pork rinds. All were amazing. Best stuff I’ve had in a while. The younger guy working there was super helpful (offered to refund me the money for my biscuit because it was going to be a touch longer since he just made a fresh batch in case I didn’t want it, but that just made me want it more, haha. He also reviewed the sauce and dry rub I had selected online and allowed me to switch because what I selected was way too hot for my liking).

They had great music playing while I waited and all around great vibes. I’ll definitely go back. Cool spot.

I’ve gone to this place for years now and I think it’s time I give a review. The wings here are incredible. The flavors are so unique and interesting. No other wings even come Close to this place in my opinion. The loaded fries are awesome too. The prices haven’t changed in years. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

We'd seen this place on a few "best places to eat in Michigan" lists on IG, so checked it out yesterday.

First of all the vibes are immaculate. They were playing Norwegian folk rock and the general ambiance of all the staff was upbeat and cheerful.

The wings were DELICIOUS. My partner had the gochuchang and I had the panang. I almost fell out of my seat when they brought our biscuits - aged smoked cheddar, corn, jalapeños, and tajin compound butter. I'm pregnant and have been wild about tajin lately.

Upon hearing this the owner ran in to get me a tajin lime wing they were testing out. It was amazing! He also double checked that I was okay with some of the ingredients in the parang, which was very thoughtful.

I am very inspired by the owners story, and how his business really grew out of this grassroots, community love of food and sharing experiences. We will TOTALLY be back next time we are in town.

10/10 worth every penny!!!

Chef Jordan Balduf is a Buffalo native. More expensive than a chain but well worth it. Think jamaican jerk sauces, szechuan rubs, and the classic Buffalo. He also puts out weekly special flavors for wings/biscuits/sandwiches. Part of @misfitbiscuits, food popups around AA including Lucha Puerco, Basil Babe, Juicy Oistre, and Beautiful Boy Bakery. [Add'l notes if you're from Buffalo: pizza logs on the menu, occassional Old Pink inspired steak sandwiches, Coztanzo's rolls for the sandwiches, and Bills gear plastered all over the shop.] Go bills!
