This restaurant has a fantastic combination of a whimsical atmosphere, and stellar food.Inside the restaurant, you will find murals of pop culture icons in Anime, plush animals, and other fun decor. While at the same time, the food itself is stellar.I would most definitely recommend visiting this restaurant. Stellar experience.Parking: It’s downtown Ann Arbor, you will need to park nearby in a paid parking lot/garage.

Food is good. That male server is awful; did not introduce or ask us about anything else, basically ignored us all the time. They do need to wok on employee training.

Authentic ramen! Since I can't find anything close to this in Bloomfield, it is worth the drive to get a bowl of these noodles.

This is one of the more pricy sushi/ramen restaurants in Downtown Ann Arbor, but I'd say it's well worth it for an occasional treat. I've been here when it's busy and less busy, and both times the servers were friendly and fast. They do wrap up leftovers in a to-go box and give you a bag if you want. The blackberry sage spritzer is my go-to drink. It's a lovely reddish color and the carbonation compliments this type of meal.I've had the Spicy Tuna Deluxe specialty Sushi roll and very much enjoyed it. Note that one of its toppings is masago, which is Smelt roe (eggs of Smelt fish). The masago felt more like a garnish that mostly added color/texture rather than a defining flavor. It was quite pleasant.I can also recommend the Red Curry Ramen. It's filled with interesting and delicious toppings and the homemade noodles are good. Because of how large the bowl is, I wasn't able to finish it.Vegetarian options: There is about 1 vegetarian option per menu category.

Serenity did a most wonderful job servicing our table! Looking around before ordering, it was obvious we should get the ramen! I got the Hakata Tonkotsu. It did not disappoint! The chicken Bao was great as well. Thank you!

Incredible sushi without the pomposity of a typical quality sushi restaurant. No 5+ menu pages of options, no suspect offerings, no overly complex or silly rolls -- just fantastic fish put together by a chef that knows what they're doing. It's also a big plus to offer non-sushi plates, such as the ramen they're known for. Zero pretension, full flavor. Love to slurp that turt.

It is so hard to find good ramen in the US at times but this is a very good option. Spacious place, with very good service and delicious ramen dishes. I had the traditional shoyu ramen and the broth was very good, not very spicy, if that is your thing. My companion had one of the spicy ramens and approved the taste and the level of heat. Prices were a bit on the high side but e left very satisfied. For those who prefer sushi, they also have an extensive selection.

At Slurping Turtle, while the noodle bowls stand out for their heartiness and flavor, I found the sashimi portions disappointingly scant and not reflective of the price point ($5/piece). True, the quality is evident, but when value is a factor, the scales tip towards the noodle selections as the more satisfying choice. Even these, though tasty and filling, lean towards the pricier side. Service, unfortunately, did not elevate the experience, tending towards aloofness with a 'hipster-esque' attitude that might detract from the warmth traditionally associated with hospitality. In summary, while there are delicious options available, the balance between cost, portion size, and service leaves room for improvement at Slurping Turtle.
