I love the Washington location, they open at 6:00 am! Evan and Brooklyn are fabulous baristas! Fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I’m there every day for my morning wake up coffee and snack 😁
Everytime I go in there they give me caffeinated coffee instead of the decaf I order. I confirm my order every time and every time they have to remake it. Also, the creamer is always empty and they don’t recycle. What’s up with this??

Coffee was extremely bitter and the pastries were underwhelming. Disappointing given the high reviews.

Cozy and great to work at-
This Sweetwaters is just lovely. Lots of natural light streams in during the day and there’s loads of space to sit at. There’s even outdoor seating during the summer when Washington’s closed to cars. Bonus points for being one of the only coffee shops in Ann Arbor open till 11pm too.

Team members were training a new barista and still managed to balance the store needs, gracefully. Great location, ample seating and outlets, amazing food & beverage.
This is my go to coffee shop when I visit Ann Arbor, I loved my downtown visit!

My order auto filled into my location as I was driving and when I went to change it, my address was to far for the restaurant, even though I had ordered from there before and they still charged me 25 dollars for the order.

I took my mom here for coffee and a bite to eat after driving in from Detroit for a show. We hadn't heard of Sweetwaters but are diehard fans now! The shop itself is huge and beautiful. There were many food choices and an incredible selection of beverages. The pistachio Summer Dreamy cold brew I ordered was the best iced coffee I've ever had. My mom had the same with lavender and it was also delicious, as were the snacks we ordered. The baristas were wonderful, especially Alastair. We loved the experience so much, we went back after the show to get different iced coffees for the morning, and Alastair offered to make them without ice so the coffee wouldn't be watered down the next day. When I tried to give a large tip, Alastair put it into the shared tip jar with a smile. I'd wanted Alastair to keep it, and hope the cheerful display of integrity is a reflection of being valued and well-treated by the company's owners and management. I was also delighted to see pride-themed merchandise, and enthusiastically bought a shirt. This is definitely my new favorite coffee chain!
