The tofu teriyaki with fried rice is SO GOOD. The food here is insanely good, and sometimes I think about how much I want this food, except I live across the country sadly. If you’re in the area, go here for food.

I love Teriyaki Time, have been eating here for well over a decade and it never disappoints. My go-to is the chicken teriyaki meal along with the spring rolls and gyoza. The owners are so nice, the food is always delicious and prepared quickly.

My daughter loves the chicken bite skewers, very tender, lightly tempura battered chicken. The Terryaki and tofu bento boxes are yummy too!

I've passed this little restaurant for years and have been curious but didn't have the opportunity to try it until recently. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento so I could try a sample of several of their food offerings. The highlight of the meal was the chicken teriyaki, which was definitely the star of the show as, it should be at a place called Teriyaki Time. My second favorite item was the salad with the ginger dressing because all of the ingredients were very fresh and the lettuce was crisp. I'm not a potato fan, so I didn't eat the mashed potatoes, but I did note that they were served cold - I presume that's the Japanese way to serve them. The rice was your standard sticky rice and the dumpling was also standard. I was not impressed with the vegetable tempura. It was slices of root vegetables served fried, but they came together in a lump instead of each vegetable fried separately and the batter was still liquid on the inside. On the whole, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely order from Teriyaki Time again, but would probably get the chicken teriyaki on its own. I'd also like to applaud Teriyaki Time for their very safe COVID practices. They had clean pens for signing receipts, plastic partitions for ordering, masks required inside and requested people waiting for their orders to wait outside. I wish more businesses were as serious about protecting their customers' safety.

Moved to the area recently and have been making my way through Ann Arbor's restaurants. TL;DR: great food, not the best experience, but not so terrible that I won't be back! Ok, story time. Wasn't sure if it was sit-down or there was a counter to order at, so I called ahead to order pick-up. The first time, no one picked up. Tried again, and got put on hold. Finally they asked what I wanted. I said "chicken teriyaki bento box," they said "ok," and promptly hung up! No time for small talk, I guess! (Even though I tried to ask how long until it would be ready...) I mosey on over and realize that yeah, there's definitely a counter to order at - that's basically all this restaurant is, besides a few tables outside. The man working asks if I ordered the bento box, I say yes, and he starts preparing it right there. So, definitely didn't need to call ahead! Oh, and he was much nicer in person than on the phone :) Unfortunately, I got home to realize that he left out my California roll, assuming that's still how they make the bento boxes. (I could only find their menu here on Yelp, and it might be out of date?) Still a solid amount of food for around $12.60, but I was really craving that California roll, so I'm a little bummed. Excellent flavors on all the food! Nothing too new or unusual but spot-on if you're looking for a quick Japanese meal. I'll be back, this time ordering in person, and hopefully then I'll get my sushi!

HOW have I not reviewed Teriyaki Time yet?! I used to come here for lunch at LEAST once a week several years ago when I worked nearby. They have a great lunch special and their food is a good value because you get a lot for your money. I ordered lunch takeout from here today after a long hiatus for me (pandemic + work further away from downtown) and it was just as amazing as I remember! I'll try not to oversell it due to nostalgia and me just being such a fan, but the teriyaki is just so good, and where else in Ann Arbor is there a whole menu dedicated to it? Perfectly grilled meat, EXCELLENT teriyaki sauce (seriously, watch me empty half a bottle on my food), and good sides. I love the ginger dressing they provide with the salads. And their bento boxes are such a deal with salad, tempura/gyoza, and California roll in addition to your generous main dish! I'd recommend any of the Asian fusion dishes like teriyaki and bits, and stuff off the Korean menu. There are better places nearby for sushi though. I LOVE TERIYAKI TIME!

Majorly delicious and friendly! Mega fast and fresh. Highly recommended and looking forward to being in the neighborhood again to get more!

Very nice Korean couple owns this place. The food is ok. However after actually living in Asia for five years I can say it's "Americanized" not my favorite (I ate the teriyaki beef and chicken combo) not bad. Next time I'll order their Korean food. Worth trying if you're in the area not worth making a trip to the area for. I hope that makes sense @notachefdan
