I've been here quite a few times, but the 2nd to last time was at least 10 years ago. This last time, it was highly disappointing. The duck, my most cherished dish, was small in comparison. Once could argue about the time frame between and maybe my memory was different but there's no escaping the horrible mildew and mold smell that permeates the whole restaurant. I'm sure it was charming and cleaner before, but now it has just fallen downhill. The carpets were almost as bad as roller rink carpets, never cleaned, dingy. Of the three courses we got, salad/soup/entree, nothing really struck me as amazing. French onion soup on par with fast food.We will probably never come again. C'est la vie!

The Earle is a regular go-to for a good conversation and great food. The menu is very consistent, and I miss the mussels special! The wait staff is excellent and the wine selection as well. The waitstaff has been with them for years and that says something. It's nice to have live music, especially non-intrustive pleasant guitar.

Perfectly cooked duck breasts and onion soup! Professionally friendly service. The only disappointment was the mocha chip ice cream which for the first time in many years of our partaking at your restaurant lacked its superb taste (please return to the original recipe!)

We have not been to the Earle in years (over 10) and we really enjoyed it. The food was very good--better than I remember last time-- and now that I have been to lots of other restaurants in AA over the past decade, watching the prices go up, the Earle is really pleasant to return to. It is not *quite* as overpriced as other places like Taste, and the ambiance is actually way better than I remember. Also, I forgot how great the wine list is. I am glad to find my way back to it!

While the food tasted great it sort of felt outdated to me. Perhaps that’s a strange way to describe food but I don’t know how else to describe it. Despite it being incredibly expensive, I would return.

Burger King is my favorite restaurant. The Earle is a close second. (No crowns.) Very good taste good.

This place, located in a brick, rustic basement, is a gem in Ann Arbor. It's a bit outdated but it gives it a homey feel. We loved the live music. The food was delicious and our waitress was really knowledgeable about GF items. We skipped the apps but enjoyed the bread (also had GF bread). We ordered the scallops and lamb chop and were pleasantly surprised with 9 scallops in the dish! The lamb chop was perfectly cooked. Everything tasted fresh and was filling but didn't make us sluggish. Unfortunately the drinks took a very long time to come out.

Was there with a party of seven. Most dishes were average and pretty generic. Presentation was meh. I would have paid $25 for the same meals instead of average of $42. I polled with my visitors and all agreed it was poor to fair value for money.

Love the ambience! Its dark but very relaxing and interior of the place makes it classy! Our favorites were ginger shrimp and duck breast. Both flavorful and cooked well. It is smaller for the price. We did not enjoy the pasta as much so i recommend getting a different entree! The wine is lovely here as well.

Great birthday dinner. The drinks were awesome and the lemon sorbet was great for dessert. The mussels and duck breast were cooked perfectly!

My wife and I ate dinner at this restaurant while visiting Ann Arbor. THE MEAL WAS GREAT!!!!!!! The service was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. This place has set a standard that should be obtained by ALL levels of eateries in the food service industry. The salmon and shrimp dish my wife had was, (and these are her words) EXQUISITE!!!!!!! My four cheese penne pasta with chicken was so good that licking the plate clean was a definite possibility, but, for decorum's sake, I Dare not. Let me NOT forget the risotto balls. These little fried bits of other worldly goodness will make you swear off mozzarella sticks for good. If you are in Ann Arbor this place is a MUST visit. If you live in Ann Arbor, and have not been to this place, you do yourself a great disservice. This place is a definite must visit. And l WILL be back
