Went out to dinner with my husband last week for his birthday. He ordered a Sea Bass, I ordered the Chicken Sandwich. His fish was nothing out of the ordinary, but there was something OFF with the chicken. We pulled that bad boy apart to find the source of the sour taste and foul smell - the "creamy" coleslaw topping. Now I'm a Midwestern girl who loves coleslaw, but this tasted fizzy, almost like an effervescent buttermilk. I attempted call the waiter over multiple times, only to have them dart past without a word. As I struggled to not lose my dinner, my husband finally gets the attention of our waiter to bring more water. Shouldn't take more than a moment to get a staff's attention, but alas this seemed to be the reoccurring theme of our visit to Webers owned businesses this weekend. I sent the meal back, and was charged full price for something I didn't eat. We explicitly told the waiter it tasted spoiled. Thankfully we had a gift card to cover most of our very expensive dinner. The following evening I developed extreme stomach cramping, and other symptoms of food poisoning. A massive disappointment for our family.

Wanted to sit, have a drink, and enjoy the live music. All I'm going to say is that having the game on at the same time defeated the purpose of live music.

The service was bad. The worst I have ever experienced. The waiter tried to use a friend's dirty fork to put leftovers in a to go box and got mad and walked away when he was asked not to use it.

We stayed for two nights while visiting the Ann Arbor area. It was an easy check-in process. The front desk staff were professional and friendly. Our room was on the fourth floor and quiet. It was spacious and clean and appears to have been recently renovated. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the door out to the balcony overlooking the pool. The pool area was nice and had a hot tub and a sauna which we used. We appreciated that there were adult swim times after 9pm. An employee had come through shortly after 9 and spoke to someone whose teenager was still swimming, I'm assuming that it was to let them know that it was adult only time as the teenager had gotten out of the pool. We ate breakfast at the restaurant both days and the food was really good. There was plenty of parking and was easily accessible to the entrance and elevator. I think the Weber is a good value for the experience. I would definitely consider staying there again if I was visiting the area.

When I was deciding where to stay in Ann Arbor I was influenced by the "boutique" part of the hotel name. Upon arrival, though, it was immediately clear that this is NOT a boutique hotel. In spite of its independent ownership, "Weber’s Boutique Hotel" feels just like part of a lower mid-tier hotel chain. I stayed in a deluxe king on the third floor. It was obvious that it had been recently renovated - in fact, as I walked down the hall I could see into other rooms that were currently undergoing renovation. The room itself was fine. The AC was very loud. The cushionless wicker chair/ottoman combination (which is pictured in all the hotel photos and also shows up poolside) was weird and uncomfortable, it's a ridiculous choice for a hotel room. The bathroom is the highlight of the renovation, with a little sign mentioning its “Dazzling Shower and Musical Mirror.” The music part means there's a Bluetooth mirror. The shower really was great, with multiple rainfall shower heads as well as a hand wand. The lighting in the bathroom was very good. There was also a Toto toilet but I had no idea how to use the features. One strange thing about the new bathroom is that the faucet for the rectangle-shaped bathroom sink was placed on the left hand side instead of in the back. Whoever dreamed this up probably didn't try out the faucet with this setup, it was awkward to use the sink for basic washing and toothbrushing with the water spout off center and so close to the left side. Another surprise in the bathroom is that the room's only small closet is directly across from the toilet, a strange and inconvenient location especially if more than one person is staying in the room. The lobby was underwhelming, with two small groups of couches for seating. There was a bowl of chocolate chip cookies on the check-in counter marked for sale for $3 each. I thought this was tacky, and definitely not in keeping with the boutique hotel label. The front desk staffers were efficient but disinterested. No one offered me water and there were no water bottles in the room. While I didn’t plan on swimming, I couldn’t ignore the website’s many references to the pool, the pool rules, and the pool-side rooms. I expected to see a tropical oasis. But the pool is small, indoors, and located in a giant echoing atrium open to guest rooms on different levels. I'm not sure who finds this setup appealing but I was very glad I didn't book a room in this section. This is my first time staying in Ann Arbor and I selected Webers based on reading online descriptions and reviews, as well as getting a last-minute good rate. I’m going to explore other options for future stays.

Beautiful property! The rooms were updated, beautiful and clean. The pool area is amazing and the restaurant and bar area are absolutely beautiful. We actually canceled our reservations at another restaurant once we saw how cozy and beautiful the hotel restaurant was. We didn't regret the decision! Our food was the best and Skylar and India were friendly and hospitable servers, making our celebration even more special. Breakfast in the morning was so nice...much better than you'd experience at most chain hotels and in a more relaxing atmosphere...a great start to the next day. The front desk crew was very accommodating to the way we wanted our bill split. I would highly recommend this property and will stay here again next time I'm in the Ann Arbor area.

Reservation: The reservation process was easy. I reserved online and had no issues. Check in: Check in is not digital which you would expect for the price, but it went quickly and smoothly. Hotel: The hotel is beautiful and well kept. It's easy to find and is right off the highway. Parking was easy to find as well. Room and amenities: 1/2 key cards did not work on the hallway door. Neither card worked on the poolside door. The room was mediocre. It was dusty and out of style. Glasses were dirty with fingerprints. The throw blanket and carpet were stained. The shower looked dirty. There was a low armchair and a small side table which was inadequate for the room service we ordered. The air conditioner unit was very loud and even on full blast the room was very hot since we were right above the sauna. Being poolside there was a lot of noise in the room but that was expected, but I would also hope for better sound proofing for the price. We were on the 3rd floor so we had a spiral staircase down to the pool which was lovely. Toiletries were offered but were bad quality. Very drying and had a super strong floral scent. Shower had very low water pressure so showering took a while longer than normal. No towels by the pool so we had to take some from the room. The TV was mediocre. Overpriced pay per view movies, few live channels, and the Chromecast was a joke because the internet was too slow to stream anything, TV was low resolution as well. The bed was comfortable and there was a mini fridge in the room which was great. There was a coffee maker as well but I didn't use it. The room description also mentioned plush robes which were not provided. The pool was smaller than expected and resulted in it being very crowded. They did have adult swim which was nice but it started at 9 and there were still children in the pool until 9:30 and children remained around the pool until we left the pool at 11. Dining: The room was outstanding. We ordered room service at 7PM and received the food quickly. Portions are huge so we ordered way more than we could eat. Keep this in mind when ordering. We had the Truffle mac n cheese and the beef stroganoff and both were delicious. We did not visit the restaurant. There are 2 bars in the hotel as well. We did not visit the Habitat but we did visit the Cabana bar. The Cabana bar is way way way too small and it was too busy for a single bartender. We could not get drinks so we left, but there was a very small selection anyway. Checkout: We checked out early and could not receive a printed receipt which was fine. We got an email instead. All in all the hotel was sufficient but overpriced and I will not visit again with that price point. Probably good for families with children but not great for a couple looking for an intimate getaway.
