Ordered the lox sandwich, which was too tall to get full bites of, too dense to bite without all the ingredients slipping out the back, and too bland to justify a $12 price
No free water either, gotta buy bottled water for >$3.
Other menu items may be better but the lox sandwich is more instagrammable than it is delicious

The taste of the food is actually quite good; however, the portion is not very high for the relatively high price. Please be warned that they will refuse to give you tap water! Recommend going to the Circle K nearby rather than purchasing their overpriced drinks.

I think this place could have improvements. Prices are higher than what is at the dine in restaurant. No trashcans besides one behind the counter. They do not give you syrup with waffles. No self serve napkins, cutlery or condiments which would be great given that this is a carry out. Only one chef and one front, so it took about 45mins to an hour maybe to get my order.

The food here is fantastic of course. This spot is the take out version of The Hen downtown Ann Arbor on Washington. If you like The Hen then you will like the Hen on the Fly.
As you may know, The Hen downtown is very popular and always full of people with a wait time due to it's popularity. I was able to get food from The Hen on the Fly lickety split, so it is a great option if you want food from The Hen but are in a hurry.
