Dropped by for a cup of coffee and had no troubles finding myself a parking spot. Would visit again.

The food here is fine, but nothing you will remember. The service is very slow and sloppy. I've lived in the area for four years and I keep hoping it will get replaced by something more interesting. Every time I stop in for a sandwich or pastry, I'm sort of disappointed.

Cute location, cute indoors, but it took us an hour to get our food. Ordered before the lunch rush came in and the entire rush got their food and left before we got an answer about where our order was. We didn’t get the friendliest response when we asked where our order from an hour ago was (just one burrito and one sandwich). When we finally did get our food, it was cold and dry. Probably won’t be coming back, just can’t afford to spend my entire morning waiting on stale breakfast. Might be a good option for some, but not for me.

Average coffee and pastries. Nice enough but there are others. It's in a strip mall area so parking is good.

Had the Phoenix sandwich with home fries and Iced Americano. Food was really good, and the service held up well even during a busy hour. The atmosphere is comfortable, and the servers were friendly and easy to talk to. Solid spot I’d come back to.

Name is cute, place is pretty, employees are kind, but the food and drinks were disappointing - which is unfortunately the whole point of this establishment. It has so much potential though!! Prices do not match the portion or quality you receive. The “Classic Breakfast” was two runny eggs, two dry pieces of bacon, a couple toasts, and some potatoes. Overall lightly seasoned and very bland. AC was cranked so high all the food was cold in a couple minutes. The “Gochujang Chicken Wrap” was very small pieces of fried chicken with barely any tomato or lettuce and what appeared to be light mayo inside a tortilla? I don’t know but it could barely hold its shape and was incredibly thin and hollow. The drinks were in cups that look child sized. The place is cute but, no one enjoys feeling deceived.

The staff and atmosphere are very pleasant, the food and coffee are excellent, and I would definitely come back without hesitation.

The best Chai latte I've had in Michigan. The flavor is perfect (not too much/little spice), it's creamy, and just the right amount of sugar so you don't need to add any. Absolutely delicious. The chipotle turkey club is also good. Staff are polite and kind as well.

I love the songbird cafe but have hated every coffee I've tried. Which is on me. And I keep trying.

WOW! The food was fantastic and creative (but with standby faves too), the staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, and the setting is super cozy. We loved the eco consciousness too. We will go out of our way to visit again.

It's a lovely cafe situated by Michigan's north campus. The prices are fair and the food is very yummy. I would recommend a breakfast sandwich and/or tea here.

Had an order made today, was told we didn't have to check anything at the desk and ended up having to come back as things were missing. Also, the corned beef sandwich is a miss. Horribly chewy and it didn't even get warm enough to melt the cheese. The potato chips were not fresh at all either. Won't be back

I placed a catering order for a work event and it was perfect! The individual yogurt parfaits were a great treat on the healthier side, and the bundt-style coffee cake was all I could want for a coffee cake. I was pleasantly surprised by the coffee, since I usually expect a catering version to be somewhat bad, but this tasted like I ordered a nice cup from a coffee shop.

I ordered for pickup at 8am, which is when the cafe opens. The order was ready to go right when I got there, which was super nice for my own plans.

I had lunch here today for the first time, and unfortunately it will be my last. I ordered the pistachio turkey sandwich and it was awful. The Italian bread was dry and flavorless, the sandwich itself was very small, and the fig jam overwhelmed an already bland sandwich. It was supposed to have pistachio crumbles, but I neither saw nor tasted them. For the price, it should come with more than just 1/2 a dill pickle. I also ordered the house made chips which were just ok. For that and a diet coke, it was around $20 before tip. I wouldn't mind paying that much if it was good. Plus you have to place your order at a counter and clear your own plates. The lunch menu is pretty limited, I really wanted a salad and they didn't even have side salads. I've never been to a restaurant that doesn't have some type of green salad on the menu! I do not recommend the Songbird Cafe!
