I stopped by Songbird Coffee and ordered a black coffee, but unfortunately, it tasted stale—like it might have been poured from an old batch that should have been tossed. That was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the pastries looked really good, so I’ll likely give them another try. Overall, decent spot but the coffee could definitely be fresher.
Really nice assortment of pastry, sandwiches, and coffee, and they have breakfast offerings like Avo toast and eggs before 3PM (at least on the weekends). The ube latte was really well made, and the pumpkin spice cookie was great as well. The staff was kind and bring your order to you after ordering at the counter.
The food here is fine, but nothing you will remember. The service is very slow and sloppy. I've lived in the area for four years and I keep hoping it will get replaced by something more interesting. Every time I stop in for a sandwich or pastry, I'm sort of disappointed.
