Tonight we just had some of their tasty beers and played darts. The tacos are delicious.Their house Mule is tasty, too! We helped them empty out the shandy barrel. See ya next year. Oh, the take cash now.
Been here a couple times, don't know how you can be a brewery that brews such poor quality beers and yet somehow stays in business. Oh, wait, I almost forgot! They also treat their employees poorly, and totally screwed over some of their employees who helped start the business in the first place - and after they got the place up running just fired them. Funny, because actual local townies know to not go here to support this business or the owners. It's like their business is just either people who don't drink craft beer regularly or it's their first time at a brewery, and they don't know any better that beer shouldn't taste like this.Yes, I tried all their beers, finally settled in the porter, but couldn't even get halfway through it before deciding my liver wasn't worth the subpar flavor.Even if you enjoy wasting your money on supbar beer, don't support this business, and go spend your money at a excellent brewery that brews exceptional beers, or even does community fundraising and other good things, like Wolverine, Jolly Pumpkin, Homes, or Mothfire.
They have some decent beers. Didn't have food options when we visited except chips. But chips and salsa were great. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. It was mostly empty on a Friday night.
We stopped by the Townies Brewery for a few drinks and really enjoyed our stay. I was too in the moment to get pics, but they have a very chill atmosphere. The main brew room has high top tables. Staff was friendly. They have a game room and a very nice patio with cabanas and fire places. There is even a lawn area out back. Very nice!
Friendly with decent beer. The atmosphere is a little sterile. When we went out was greatly empty, I bet with a crowd it feels a lot more lived in.
The beer is good and the atmosphere is great (being dog-friendly is always a huge plus!) but the food is not good and overpriced. I tried the veggie tacos and they were subpar. We miss being able to bring amazing tacos from Chela's and hanging out at Townies.
Really enjoyed our visit here. The beers were tasty! Alina said it was her 3rd day working here, and she did great. Love the outdoor space; we enjoyed sitting by the firepit table in the sunshine. We picked up our Tag-a-Brew and they had some cool merchandise items, but no coozies :( We will definitely visit again if we're in the area.
Stopped in at Noon on a Sunday and were the only ones here. (But there was a home U of M game going on.) And the Beer Jockey said they usually get busy around 2pm ish. Hubsy and I each had a flight. I liked my beers-hubsy said he like everything but the stout, which tasted contaminated, so maybe a bad barrel. We shared a street corn dip and chips, asked for second cup of dip to finish up the chips. We were surprised it was cold, but both thought it was good anyway. Beer jockey( he named himself) was knowledgeable about the beers and could give recommendations on other breweries to stop at. Tag A Brew participant and lots of swag and decor items available to purchase.
Varied beer selection, local pub atmosphere, courteous staff
Based on 10pm Friday attendanceOnly chips n salsa for foodBeer is eh across 5 selections. I liked the hard seltzer.Parking is a bit inconvenient no thru way to pull out, home base lot is small.Plus: while open Chelas taqueria will deliver to the Townie door.

They do not take cash! (Legal tender for all debts public and private) but were extremely happy for cash tips. That said, good beer and Chela right next door. They may not allow for the food to be brought in but we took our beers over the wall to Chela's patio and then went back
Me… waiting 45 minutes for nachos… and then noting the amazing smells from the taqueria neighbor…..
Drove up from o$u central ohio to hit some breweries in AA. Our K9s named Tshimanga and Desmond came along to explore.Townes was a pleasant visit. Offering some big number beers for me, with some lower number beers and seltzer for the Mrs. Outdoor area outstanding. Inside gaming area looked amazing.
Great beers but only a Food truck at the time we visited with Tacos and Nachos. Great selection of ciders, IPA's, selzers, and a few ales.
Great customer service, food is slightly pricey, but the space is lovely and expansive. They have a game room and a back yard. Definitely a hidden gem of Ann Arbor.
