Kicked me out because I started sobbing when a cis gay guy repeatedly called me annoying. They lost a regular; I lost a home.

Food and staff are great so they get a five. During the day of the dead celebration the opener for the show kept walking through the crowd and groping people both hands on the hips instead of going around, including my partner. They stated how gross it made them feel after they gave a long winded explanation how touching REQUIRES consent yet they did not notice or stop the OPENER from doing that in the crowd several times. I saw three other girls who got grabbed making faces cause it was also uncomfortable for them. A safe environment Is for EVERYONE. So they get two stars unfortunately for that experience.

Out on a Friday Night. Lots of new bar staff - drinks are weak and not that great, had to wave down bar staff even though bar wasn’t that busy, took one drink order at a time instead of serving me and my 3 friends at the same time. I wasn’t very uplifted here. Came from out of town and the atmosphere was ok, a lot of uptight people just standing around with only a few dancing.

This gay bar offers a lot of events for lesbians and sapphics, which can be hard to find, so it's very appreciated. There is one bartender who is rude, but all the others are nice, and I haven't had an issue with. The patrons are usually very friendly, but sometimes it's a hit or miss on whether people dance, usually in relation to whether they're playing good music. Overall, would recommend though.

So fun!

As one of Ann Arbor’s only, 365 a day gay/queer spaces I wanted this place to “pop off” unfortunately it’s just, off… I have attended 3 events and this is one of the most BORING gay/queer bars I have ever been to, and that’s attending not just most queer venues in Michigan but multiple other states as well. From boring performances, to absent minded/un-attentive staff, to dirty glasses, closed environment atmosphere, to charging a cover for what it is most definitely not worth. To top it off, from performers known personally to me, they are not even paid worth their booking fees. This place can and should do better. The space is a cute space with loads of potential. Severely let down by what I’ve seen, and I’ve tried and hoped each time this would be better for Uplift Ann Arbor to fall flat. Tip, maybe have a diverse cast of performers and not just white cis-gendered women in girl drag.

As a U-M alum, it's so insanely refreshing to have a fun, inclusive, queer space to visit each time I'm back in Ann Arbor. Saharsh and the team are deeply passionate and committed to creating a great new gay bar in Ann Arbor, and they are WELL on their way.

Swing by and spread the word!!!

Wow, this place is really nice and the staff here is amazing. I actually grew up in Ann Arbor and not having anything like this except maybe for Neo it’s nice to have something that’s more of a hang out spot and more down to earth. I came on a Friday night and even though it wasn’t busy or packed I kind of appreciated that buy more. I got to really hang out and get to know the bartenders and the DJ was a 10 out of 10. Whatever old-fashioned they had on the menu was so good. I had to get a second one. I highly recommend coming here. I love that you guys are curating more LGBTQ plus spaces and right in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor.

Had an absolute BLAST at Sunday drag brunch — easily one of the best I’ve ever been to. Great vibes. The queens SLAYED. Strong (and affordable) drinks. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Ann Arbor, this is a must-visit.

Absolutely adore Uplift and it is very quickly becoming one of my favorite queer spaces in Ann Arbor. I'm not somebody who likes to go out a lot, but I have made time to go to the Sunday Drag Brunch three times. The performers are amazing, the price for entry and breakfast was $30 and reasonable for the catered buffet, and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend Uplift, especially their brunches, to anybody who is looking for a new place to explore.

Went to the drag show at the beginning of the month, and I cannot recommend this enough. The vibes and energy are phenomenal. Great staff, wonderful performers, and delicious mimosas.
Can’t wait to come back and see it all again!!

Could use a couple more decorations, but everything else more than makes up for it. 10/10, one of my favorite gay bars. Plus, the owner is CUUUUTE.

Had a blast at drag brunch with the girlies! The pancakes and bacon were delicious (and much needed). The performers were spectacular.

Will be back again for more mimosas! (They give very generous pours, lol.)
