Good basic breakfast place. Corn beef hash nothing special but eggs perfect and everything came out hot.

A throw back place. Not fusion, not vegan, just great food with an atmosphere from yesteryear.

Stopped in for breakfast yesterday. Mediocre service and very bland food. Asked for two pacs of honey for my toast and was told that the first was free and there would be a 75 cents charge for the second!! Struck me as very strange and kinda pissed me off. Happened to notice there was no limit on syrup or jellies. I just couldn’t get over it so, I subtracted a dollar from the waitress’ tip! Won’t be back.

Fun diner feel, with a cheerful and fresh atmosphere. The portions are extremely generous, the quality of great, the service is quick and friendly. Everything you could want from your local breakfast/lunch diner!

The Reuben is my personal favorite.

Best breakfast in Ann Arbor! Quintessential and idyllic diner atmosphere and the waitstaff are wonderful people. A true local treasure of west Ann Arbor.

Went there today with my kids. Will not go there again over charger me on my bill. I looked at the prices on the pictures to see why it cost me so much now I know.

Terrible service. Decided to try Village Kitchen instead of our normal place just to try something new. The tall honey blonde with the wavy hair was very pleasant. She was the seating hostess, totally normal. But the waitress, the one with the dark hair that was pulled back, oh boy, was she grumpy! Just in a bad mood, she wanted to be scolding and just had a bad attitude. Will not be back!! Don't go here unless you want to be treated rudely when you are hoping to go out for breakfast! It will leave a bad taste in your mouth to be treated like a scolded child for no reason. The manager should talk to her and tell her that being nice might be a good way to treat people. Awful experience. You just lost a customer.

The service was awesome. We liked the atmosphere. It was clean and spacious. But I can't say the same for the food. I ordered Veggie Benny. The sauce didn't taste good. And hash browns was dry. My husband got the skinny Greek omelette . It tasted bland.
