Vinology Restaurant & Event Space

We had dinner on a Wednesday night in December. It was not busy at all, but we had a pleasant evening. The menu is very interesting and the two items we selected were nicely presented and very tasty. We also had an exceptional dessert. Service by Kristina was excellent - professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The wine list is extensive albeit a bit pricey. We very much enjoyed the experience. Two minor items that seemed to be unnecessary and took a little shine off of the experience - charging us a crazy amount for soda water from the bar was ridiculous, especially considering they were out of the normal bottled sparkling water available. Most restaurants would have just offered that gratis. And charging a credit card fee for such a significant dinner bill. We understand this may be standard practice some places, but with the entree and wine prices being substantial already, it seems this would be better not added on top.

It is such a beautiful and intimate space for a celebration. We used Vinology for a brunch reception and service was efficient, warm pastry was a highlight, and overall the venue was easy to work with and management responded immediately to any requests the week of the event.

Love love love everything about this place. Great atmosphere and service but more importantly, the food. Everything we ordered was delicious. We especially loved the walleye and the short ribs. Our waitress, Evelyn was helpful and attentive. We’ll be back!

Had a lovely time sampling a few wines and sharing some apps. Found a quiet place for conversation and had a friendly, helpful server - thank you Kristina! - and a thoroughly enjoyable evening

Food isn't that great. Almost no hollandaise sauce and the pork belly was not very well cooked it was pretty soggy. The lemon pancake had very little lemon on the lemon pancake. It was very disappointing.

I experienced by far the worst service in my decades of experience booking group dinners for clients tonight at Vinology. They assigned a nasty passive aggressive single server for a group of 17 in a private room with a fully stocked bar. No bartender and no support for taking orders, running food, etc... She insisted she was experienced and could handle it but we asked for backup. She refused and wouldn't discuss with management. When a VIP guest mentioned the fries on our group menu were not delivered, I started to tell the server. She snapped at me that we didn't order fries which is why we didn't get them. They were clearly written on our group menu. The appetizers were good and all but one of the entrees reviewed highly by our group. The key lime pie was inedible (something had soured and it was an odd gray/green color and should not have been served), but we did not tell the server because she was so off-putting and would not have cared. We had such high hopes but spent a lot of money to be verbally abused for an evening. Do not recommend.

Curated wine selection. Sommelier on site. Upscale continental cuisine. Altogether a good experience. Would go again.

Had a quick drink with friends and they have a wonderful selection! Would definitely recommend swinging in and checking it out soon!

I’m giving 2.5 stars. It’s a stretch to give 3. The food might be fresh on the weekend, but you take your chances if you go during the week. We went during the week. The edges of the greens in my dinner salad were tinged with slime. The roe on the Diver scallops was salty and past its prime, and the brownie was at least two days older than it should have been. It was an expensive, disappointing dinner. This restaurant seems to use up what they have left over from the weekend. I can have better leftovers at home.

Made a reservation to host college friends who were flying in from all over the country. The night before, the restaurant called and cancelled my reservation because they 'hadn't noticed it" and had a group event scheduled. This was for a saturday night on a football weekend and there was literally no where else to go. The manager promised a gift card as compensation, but never sent it. If you have an important event with people you love, avoid this place.

Michelle was our server, and we hit it off right away. Her knowledge of their drinks and wine were spot on! Loved her!

We had our wedding at Vinology and I am beyond glad that we did. To say they were great to work with would be a major understatement as we were absolutely blown away by everything- from their stunning venue and exquisite food to their incredible customer service. Vinology not only handles their events with professionalism and attention to detail, but they genuinely care about the people they are hosting the events for.

From the very start, the communication was impeccable. We primarily worked with Neal, who was amazing. He was knowledgeable, kind and quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We also worked with Shelley, who was also extremely helpful and kind. There wasn’t a single staff member that we encountered throughout the entire process that wasn’t equally wonderful and hardworking. Especially on the night of the event!

The venue setup was beautiful and the transition between ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception ran smoothly. All of our guests raved about the spectacular food, saying that it was the best they have ever had at a wedding and that they couldn’t get over how elegant and perfect the space was.

Once the wedding was over, Vinology continued to impress us. The next day we found that in all of the leftover food that had been packed up, we were missing a few meals that were supposed to be included (from the guests that were unable to attend last minute). Neal worked with us and the chef to have fresh meals made and picked up at a time that worked well for us. We were very impressed that they did this and as always, they were delicious!

We cannot thank Vinology enough for everything they have done and for giving us the most extraordinary day that we will never forget!
