My party of two ordered the hamburger with cole slaw, and salmon with spinach and mashed potatoes, along with a bread basket. All were very good. The staff was very attentive, but not overly so. I look forward to returning in the near future.
We were celebrating our friends anniversary and had a great experience. Our food was excellent (escargot and prime rib) and our server, Delmore, outstanding! Everyone enjoyed the evening!
Our food and server were excellent. The live jazz music was deafening and made it hard to have a conversation. We were there on a Saturday night at 9, so would perhaps avoid that time of day if expecting more quiet.
Webers was great . There was a miss understanding in our reservation . They were so polite and accommodating. Our food was delicious and our waiter Chris was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for adapting to the situation and making our experience special.
There was a very strong order, possibly moldy carpet, it didn't smell right, and was overpowering throughout the meal. It looks like a beautiful experience online but this was not the case in person. The food was only so so.
It's been decades since I ate here last. Heard it was really good so decided to try it. I didn't like the $25/person hold on my reservation as sometimes things happen. Ambiance is good with higher ceilings, wood beams and stained glass windows. Our waiter was very good. Water glasses were kept full without asking (which I love as I drink a lot of it)! Calamari was good but improved with the sauce. We split the filet and scallops for dinner. Filet was perfect and delicious. Mashed potatoes were ok. The carrots and slightly charred broccoli were pretty bit both raw. Should have been served with ranch dressing! Sad! The scallops were good but under seasoned with a yummy, scant beurre blanc sauce. Would love more. Will try the restaurant again as was busy so maybe we were just unlucky with a few things this time.
amazing service and food. A truly iconic old school steak house and eatery. It does a great job feeling like a nostalgic supper club while serving contemporary fare. it remains the best steak/filet in Ann Arbor. Special attention from Kayla, Brian Weber and the staff were appreciated.
We had another enjoyable meal at Webers. Our biggest complaint was that our server had too many tables (I counted she had 7 tables) and the service was not very attentive. We found that the kitchen was slower than we expected. Our dinner took nearly 2.5 hours because of the kitchen delays.
Service was unorganized, slow, scattered. They brought one of our appetizers very late. They did make it complementary because it was so late. They also put an appetizer on our table that was someone else's. They took it back towards the kitchen then turned around and took it to the right table. The problem with that was we held it up asking - who's is this? I would not have accepted that plate if we were that table. Our food was also cold. A manager did take my wife's meal back and brought a hot one. The rest of us just ate what we had because we were hungry. Almost half of my prime rib was solid fat- very bad cut. We asked for sweeteners for our drinks, never came until we asked the water server . He was on point! I Waited 10 minutes while our waiter chatted with a couple at another table before he came to take my payment. My family has been Webers patrons for 50+ years so I know how it's supposed to be. My son even had his wedding there. Webers fell way short of their reputation last night.
This is the second time we have dined at Weber's. The first time was fine, but last night my dinner was inedible. The chicken breast was so tough and dry, I had to saw into it. Sent it back. I believe we should have had some compensation in addition to not paying for the entree. Dessert maybe.
Restaurantji Recommends
We ordered the prime rib and the duck the duck was very dry and overcooked and the prime rib was sliced smaller than usual, this was unusual because the food is usually on point. The service was a little slower than usual, and the assistance to the servers, not as attentive.
If you like meat, I highly recommend the prime rib (very flavorful and tender). Whipped mashed potatoes were excellent. Quality service provided by Chris, and it was his first week on the job.
We ate here years ago and the food was very good back then. We were very disappointed with the food this time and felt the quality has gone down. My guests also did not like the smell of the restaurant it was musty. I don't think we'll be back.
Normally Webers is extremely consistent. Unfortunately we received poor service. Steak was way undercooked and then was returned to me overcooked! 20 minutes after ordering we were informed that an item had sold out. We waited a long time just for water and to even order drinks. Very disappointing.
Absolutely love Weber's! It's our ‘go-to' restaurant for any celebration, but it is also great for a weekday lunch.Loved my salmon this time & my husband loved his filet. Had our wedding reception here almost 45 years ago - would do it all again. Thank you for the memories!
