It was a terrible experience and even worst food! The whole experience took so long we had to take our food togo. We sat down at 6:38pm didn’t place our entree order until 7:44pm. Took the food home in cheap Togo boxes. For an almost $200 evening that included the tip, this place is not worth wasting your money. Here a picture of my wife’s $36 entree (Tofu stir fry) we had to get to go because the whole experience was so slow. The food was the worst we have ever had downtown Ann Arbor. If you go here good luck to you and your wallet. Waste of money.

I’ve been to West End Grill several times and it’s always been a great experience. The atmosphere is really nice, the food is consistently excellent, and the service is always friendly and attentive. It’s definitely one of my favorite spots in Ann Arbor and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dinner.

One of the best restaurants in Ann Arbor, amazing food, friendly service and great atmosphere
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere!
Outstanding experience, as always! They just completed a refresh of the restaurant and it looks fantastic. Service is always fantastic and the food delicious!
We always love West End Grill. The food quality is outstanding and consistent. Service can't be beat with many of the servers there so long they remember us when we enter. This visit was to celebrate our kids entry into secondary schools and the staff all graciously congratulated them and engaged with them. It was a special night!
My husband and I recently found ourselves in downtown Ann Arbor for date night, and we made our way to The West End Grill. We didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night, but there was plenty room at the beautiful bar.
Gabriel was our bartender, and he really made our night. His friendliness, knowledge and skill, and blatant enjoyment of his job made us want to keep coming back.
Yes, the cocktails and food were outstanding, but Gabriel really elevated our experience.

Went to your previously and was quite pleased. Went again around Christmas, and was quite disappointed with the food. My wife requested her state be done medium, pink, and it came out raw. That happens, but we requested they fix it, they made an effort, and it came out still too red and undercooked. I complained to the waiter a bit frankly expecting a complimentary dessert or something and all we got was so sorry we apologize, and that'll be full price for everything. That's not what I call great service. So while I enjoy the experience of this location the amount of money you spend and the quality was not up to the standards it should be.
Townie who hadn't been in a while. Quainter than I remember. Excellent dishes. Excellent waiter. Recommend.

Impeccable service. Great Food! Pleasant atmosphere. Low noise level environment. We shall definitely return!
The food was excellent, our waiter was excellent. It was 90th birthdays for my wife and I. They treated us very well!
Steak dish was tough and and not first class. Sea Bass and Fish dishes were great. Weird wine list issues, out of two French reds, recommended a bad Italian, out of French rose and suggested a white Zinfandel. Bleh. Usually a first class experience. But not up to the usual on this visit. Waiter was great as was the service.
Every part of the meals were well prepared. Quaint with terrific service. Just needs the flooring cleaned to get a perfect rating.
We had an amazing experience here and everything we ordered was tasty. Service was excellent and the seafood strudel was incredible!
