I ordered through doordash. I specifically ordered 2 of the pan fried pork dumplings, 2 crab rangoon, and a roll of almond cookies.
The dumplings were boiled and doughy, didn't taste like much at all. The crab rangoon were overcooked (blackened filling) and again tasted like nothing thanks to barely any filling. The cookies, surprise, didn't taste like almonds, sugar, or anything. This place was a major disappointment given the reviews. I don't know if the cook was asleep today or what.
I’ve only been here as a dasher and every single time I go come into this establishment, it’s terrible. it’s never busy, the woman upfront is extremely unwelcoming and they are extremely slow.
I accepted an order today and went inside, was greeted by the same woman, gave her the name on my order and was told ‘sorry not ready yet’ she then says something to the people in the back and LEFT the restaurant. lol … i just shook my head and left. I’m done wasting my time and gas on this place. Pathetic
The food for the price was good. The dumplings are good but are best paired with chilly oil and soy sauce. The service was a bit slow but nothing to complain about. It’s difficult to compete with other great restaurants in the area but the food wasn’t bad.
Very nice dumplings and noodle dishes! Fried dumplings were so juicy it flew across the table in the first bite.
I'm going to give a 5 star review simply because everything we has was amazing. The building could use a bit of TLC but honestly I didn't go there for the esthetics. Service was fast and friendly.
I used to love this place, I don't know how it could have changed so much.
To start, they should not have their daughter working the front. I can only assume she is a daughter cause of how horrible her work ethic was. She did nothing but play on her phone and look annoyed at everyone. No acknowledgement when you walked in, and the look she gave almost made you feel like you shouldn't be there. You had get her attention away from her phone to take your order. She also ignored the one other table and the 6 dirty tables for the entire time we were there. She never did anything besides take our order and stare at the door dashers wordlessly. She didn't even run our food, that was all done by the lady working the back.
It would have been a better dining experience had it been just the lady in the back. The lady in the back offered us a refill on our water (only when we were ready to leave) and a box for our food, not our server. The lady in the back also started to clean the dirty tables close to before we left. At least her working in the back would have made the level of service acceptable.
The daughter only taking orders and not doing anything else made it feel like really bad service. If it had been only the lady in the back it would have felt just left like they were understaffed and it would have been more acceptable.
The food also completely changed, it has to be new management. My favorite dish tasted nothing like it used to, it was presented differently. The other dishes we got were also different from the past and had less flavor. They did give a complementary welcome dish and that was tasty. I am so sad that this place changed so much.
Phenomenal!! I had the pickled cabbage and pork dumplings, along with fried rice and crab rangoons. I also had some beef and onion dumplings and I have to say they were great! I highly recommend coming here. Very relaxed and calm atmosphere. Makes it hard to leave lol. Good place to come for lunch or dinner. Definitely good solo or with friends. The food came out prompt and the service was good.
Sorry unfortunately I have to update my positive review from years ago. Came tonight and it was terrible. Lamb Skewers were dry and chewy, tiny little pieces, more spicy and less flavorable than they used to be. Dumpling skin was too thick and were very dry on the outside...chili oil was very bland...the young girl working couldn't be bothered to pickup the dirty tables and acted like it was an inconvenience to wait on customers. No music just dead silence in the whole place. Very different vibe than a few years ago. It's been a while since I was here, and I won't go back.
Chive pancake is a MUST. My boyfriend liked the dumplings - you have the option to get them steamed OR fried. I had the chili noodles which had wide and thick noodles with bean sprouts and cilantro on top; they were good if not the warmest. The folks working here were very sweet and helpful.

Owner and chef have recently been changed. Isn’t good as it used to be. It used to be one of my favorite dumpling restaurants. Sad to remove it from my list.

Beef brisket with tomatoes was very yummy! Pearl rice was super good. Mushrooms and bok choy also very good (not too salty or too oily). Lamb dumplings were a bit dry. Overall a very good place. A good new addition to Ann Arbor.

Very delicious dumplings, large selection of fillings. Decent prices. Selection of more American Chinese fare as well. Would highly recommend.

All the food we ordered was really tasty. Three of us ate there for less than $50 and left full and happy. Plenty of vegetarian items and other entree dishes in addition to dumplings.

Whenever we visited Ann Arbor, we frequently visited this restaurant. They always served delicious food, and so was one of our favorites. Last evening was very different though. We ordered lamb dumpling, chili oil noodle, and fiery pot beef. None of the orders were as they used to be. The food was extremely bland, the sauce was not what we had before, the noodle and the beef dish were too sweet, and not hot at all. We have eaten these same food before, multiple times, they were unrecognizable.Interestingly, when we asked for hot chili oil to adjust the spice level, we were repeatedly shown sesame oil with seeds and told that "that" was the chili oil.I am not sure what happened to this place, which had a great reputation. Very disappointed.
