Visiting my daughter at the University of Michigan I stayed in one of the local hotels. I wanted dinner, but not from a chain restaurant and opted for Zamaan Cafe. What a great choice it was! The place is unassuming, yet cozy. The owner, Ali, is welcoming and helpful when it comes to choosing items from the menu. But it really is the food that steals the show here: delicious, fresh, tasty and prepared fast. I had a chicken shawarma with pickles, tomatoes and garlic, a side of hummus and their famous cinnamon tea. It was a feast that I will try to replicate next time I am in Ann Arbor.

Nothing to complain about, quality food, on time with a smile. I would have preferred larger portions, but it was very affordable. Next time I'll order more food. Like I said, not at all expensive.

A great choice for lunch today. It was very busy, but the service was quick all the same. We grabbed menus and seated ourselves to check out the menu. We had the Upside Down and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection, steaming hot, spiced really nicely. It had a great blend of rice/veggies and it was a lot of food! Two of us shared it and still had enough for three of us to have lunch the next day. We also shared an order of falafel and grape leaves. Both of those were great as well. Atmosphere was great even when really busy the whole time we were there. Prices weren’t cheap, but I think still fair considering the portions. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Ann Arbor.
We’ve been wanting to stop in here for a while now and finally did it today. It was super quiet but as soon as we walked in we were greeted by the nicest guy behind the counter. He was very friendly and fast. The food was amazing, we got the chicken fattoush salad and the baklava and they were both wonderful. I’d definitely recommend trying this place!!
We stopped by randomly and taste was really good. We liked it very much.
We enjoyed our lunch and want to return to enjoy again.
Best Lebanese food in the area!
It’s a good customer service. I recommend you go to that place and their food is delicious.

Very disappointed by this place. I ordered the upside down, and there was exactly one tiny piece of egg plant, and one cauliflower (the rest was mostly rice). It cost me $19 after taxes and takeout fees, so overpriced
We wanted a dinner out and we like Middle Eastern food so this seemed perfect. The place was clean and the service a little better than average. The food was not. I got crushed lentil soup and hummus with Shawarma (not sure of the spelling) and my wife got a wrap with chicken. The soup, hummus and shawarma were too salty. The chicken wrap was very plain and dry. We will not go back.
Awful. the wrap was huge, soft, unable to hold the fillings and cold. the sides were fine. we used to eat here all the time. never again. ugh
Passing through Ann Arbor we were looking for someplace good for a late lunch. We came across this restaurant and the food was delicious. It was a bit pricey but the food was freshly prepared, very flavorful and good sized portions. The staff was helpful and friendly.
we came for lunch. We ordered chicken schwarma with hommous and biriyani. The chicken schwarma was dry and not schwarma. The 20 dollor order was accomanied by a large rice-indeed the majority of the order was rice. The biriyani rice dish came with a small side salad that was old and dressed in a wierd dressing, This was not a fresh mediterranean experience and we will not return. Disappointing.
