As always, food and service were excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable and the staff accommodating since we arrived earlier than our reservation.

Food amazing as always. Butterscotch latte was a delicious treat that wasn't too sweet. Highly recommend the grilled cinnamon roll. Great to have a restaurant not filled with TV's; nice music in the background that wasn't overwhelming. All staff was friendly, helpful, waiter Lucas was amazing. Great recs, checked in enough.

We had a wonderful lunch at Zimmerman's Roadhouse yesterday! From the moment we walked in, the team at the hostess stand was super friendly and helpful, setting a great tone for our visit. Our server, Alex, was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He made our lunch feel special with his great service and recommendations. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

This is one of the best overall dining experiences in the Midwest. The variety of options combined with the high quality and incredible hospitality is unmatched. This is a 10/10 restaurant.

Terrible service. Our waiter forgot about us and didn't bring drinks or take our order for almost an hour at a time when the restaurant was nearly empty. Other waitstaff kept telling us they'd get him, but didn't. And when we finally did get our food, fries were stone cold.

Always a family pleaser. No one ever doesn't like their dinner at Zingermans. That's why we return.

I have always loved this AA icon, but we had a basic American breakfast of eggs, biscuit, bacon, potatoes, and black coffee. The bill for 2 people, with a 20% tip, cost over $70. And my eggs were cold. Just not worth it!

Had a friend visiting from out of town and wanted to highlight the best of the area, and the Roadhouse never disappoints.

I had not been to the Roadhouse in at least 10 years and remember it being overpriced. This evening's meals were no different. I wanted a steak and ordered the $50 Ribeye, blackened. Came with mashed, collard greens, and mac n cheese. I am completely accustomed to spending $50 in a fine steakhouse for a prime grade steak which is 1.5" to 2" thick. My steak was 1/2" thick, about the same thickness as a fast food hamburger. I ordered it medium-rare and the flavor was excellent. But there is no possible way to control the cook temperature of the steak when it is that thin. My mashed potatoes arrived hot, the collard greens were luke warm, but the mac n cheese was cold and the sauce was broken and gritty. Paid $18 a glass for a California Chardonnay. Server was fantastic and attentive. The food value and atmosphere leave something to desire. The restaurant is scheduled for renovation early '26. Hopefully they can fix the place and the food. And maybe they can find a home for the 74,000 salt and pepper shaker collection

Our experience was truly spectacular, as we were greeted by amazing professionals who immediately took us to our table and made certain that we were ready for our server. Our server, Traci, was outstanding and provided the absolute most attentive service you can have. From start to finish everything was a delight, and we look forward to going back again and again!

I don't like cooked spinach, which was the vegetable that accompanied my grilled trout. The waitress gave me some options and I selected squash. She didn't tell me there was a SIX DOLLAR upcharge. I was unpleasantly surprised when I got my bill. Plus, no refills on lemonade? She didn't tell me about that either. The food was delicious but it was very busy so very loud. Not good for having a conversation with someone who is hearing impaired, but hard to avoid.

Went to this American restaurant last weekend with a couple friends, and overall it was a nice experience. The place had a cozy vibe and the staff was friendly without being too pushy. I ordered the BBQ burger and fries — both were cooked well and had good flavor, though the fries could’ve been a bit crispier. My friend got the chicken sandwich and said it was solid too. Prices were fair for the portion size, and the service was pretty quick even though it was busy. Not the best meal I’ve ever had, but definitely worth visiting again sometime.
