We have eaten at Lelli's for the past 40 years. Our experience yesterday was not enjoyable. The food came out so fast it was not hot and our server seem bothered by us. The soup was cold the pasta was lukewarm in the dinner was not hot either. The Restaurant was not busy since it's a holiday weekend and it seemed as though the waiter couldn't wait to get us out of there.
We were next to a table of 10 or so and they were so loud I felt I was eating with them! The lady at the head of the table was screaming to the other side like it was her last supper at the apostle table!!!! I don't remember the Caesar salad tasting as awful as it did! Creamy horseradish sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce????????none of these should be in a ceaser sald!!! All I tasted was horseradish and oil. It was disgusting.!!! Due to a theater engagement we did not arrive at the restaurant until 9:50 pm. We were seated and treated with great service. No rush throughout the meal and wine service. Our server was exceptionally attentive given the late hour. The food was exceptional and evenly paced. Great experience and will continue to visit this outstanding restaurant.
