Friends and family went there for New Year’s Eve, my daughter and son in law called and made reservations for 730 as there was six of us that night as we drove from Indiana and Michigan ,
When we arrived, they gave my daughter and son a hard time trying to tell them they must of called the wrong place , as my son in law showed them the number and the time and minutes of the call, because they asked if we had proof that we called and made reservations, they was very rude and told them we didn’t have a reservation with them as we wasn’t wrote down on the notebook paper of reservation! Yes a paper notebook!
As we stood there trying to understand what had happened and why was we being treated so poorly they just stopped talking and acted like we wasn’t there!
They had dropped the ball on there end maybe who ever took the call forgot to write it down on the paper and could apologized to us and try to help us with the issues at hand and fit us in as we had all the proof we did call and did make reservations !
No that’s not how we were treat at all ! We got ignored and treat poorly ,

We will not be returning again or recommending this place ! The people that work there are rude and not professional at all.

Very disappointed in customer service. Bought my teenage daughter a $50 gift card for Christmas. She went to use it and it didn’t work. Apparently Kume typed in the CG code wrong when I purchased it. So my daughter was forced to pay cash. Luckily I kept the receipt and was able to prove Kume made the error. They then refused to refund the cash she just paid and gave her another gift card. So I basically had to pay twice for her Christmas present since Kume made an error and apparently doesn’t refund cash (she just handed them) and this happened within 10 minutes. Very disappointed.

I met here with friends. My husband and I were from out of town. 1st time eating here. I have a low seafood allergy. I can be around you as you arebeating seafood but when my food is being prepared.... It cannot touch seafood.

My husband informed the servers of this before we sat down. If this accommodation could not be done, we would have chosen to leave

We all know how hibachi is you never know your neighbors. And of course our neighbors ordered scallops and shrimp. This was totally okay.

For all of you that know about cooking; seafood cooks faster than other meats. Because of this, seafood is normally added last. Thus my seafood allergy has never been a problem because everything else is cooked 1st and the seafood cooked on the grill by ITSELF.

Our server began cooking the rice. That was perfect. He then put the vegetables on. That was perfect. He then began by putting on the steak, chicken and the Salmon. He also added the scallops as everything else was cooking..🤔😲🤢 STOP!!! Everyone in my group Expressed to the server......Hey you just put scallops on there. The server responded as if he didn't realize it and took the scallops off quickly.

Even though the scallops were taken off there was a moment of touching the other meats. And the same utensils handled the rice and the vegetables.😧🥺
Management came over, the situation was explained and they offered to have my food cooked in the back to avoid cross contamination again. 😉🫠 I was thankful for this. But concerned about that simple mistake of putting scallops on the grill so early. And with putting them on the grill knowing someone has a seafood allergy in the group.

Overall, it was a unique and awkward experience.

We had a great time here! There aren’t a lot of “nice” sit-down restaurants in this area so we were happy to find this one. Sushi was great and the wait was not long. I’ve eaten at the Hibatchi for lunch before as well and was shocked by how inexpensive their lunch menu was. 10/10 will be returning. :)

Me and my husband always choose this place any special event we have going on. Let it be a birthday an anniversary or shoot just for date night. The food is absolutely amazing whether you get hibachi or sit at a table and get served there. Highly recommend.

I love all of their vegetables rolls as well as their aged tofu appetizer! Very reasonably priced. I personally recommend the sweet potato roll.

I always have good service and delicious food. The soups are amazing, clear soup is my favorite. The fish is fresh, and I know this because I almost always get a salmon hand roll! I love it here, I highly recommend Kume! If you bring a group of friends, Hibachi is the way to go. Delicious and so entertaining!
