After a day cycling the Battle Creek Linear Trail, we decided to have a special dinner at Kitchen Proper, where we'd been once before, last year. The hummus with turmeric appetizer was definitely a starter I'd get again! The shrimp linguine had a lemony brightness and flavor balance. The cheesecake with brulee topping was over the top! Great meal of Walleye, potatoe salad, and cold slaw. Wait time was excessive; however, good food is worth the wait.First time eating at this new soul food restaurant. I will be making a return visit to try other menu items.Recommend you try ? it for your next meal.
