Ordered a cheeseburger with everything. They were timely. I didn’t know it came with fries so that was a nice surprise. Very juicy and flavorful. Hot and FRESH! from the veggies to the fresh cut fries. Thanks for lunch guys!!! I WILL be down again to grab another one!
Rarely do I list a review on a restaurant. I had heard a lot of good reviews on this restaurant so I decided to try it today. I ordered an Olive burger which came w/fries and one of the peach cobbler egg rolls. Everything was very good: taste, quality etc. The burger itself was flavorafol, cooked. Next time I will ask to have the burger a touch pink, but it wasn't overly cooked. They also had Sunday specials inside the restaurant to offer. I will order again. ...read full review

South Side Grubz Soul Kitchen offers delicious, perfectly fried dishes with standout fried catfish. Greens, beans, and potatoes are all highly praised, and the fried okra has a light, crispy batter that complements the cornmeal crusted catfish. The menu includes favorites like the catfish dinner and popcorn shrimp dinner, with sides such as collards, fried okra, and Mac and cheese, all cooked fresh and served hot and crisp. The restaurant has a family-like atmosphere and supports local bikers, creating a welcoming environment despite its simple, clean, and comfortable dining room. Service may be slow, but the food's quality makes it worth the wait. Many customers have enjoyed meals like the Brisket Burger called The General, which was described as tender and juicy, and the kid’s catfish meal, loved by a young diner. The overall experience is highly recommended, with visitors often saying they will return when nearby, making it a worthwhile detour on the way through Battle Creek on 94. The restaurant was highly rated by the Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church Black History Committee for its excellent food and service.
